The website seems a bit ropey, is this a reputable company?

a1 the solar light is only £10 on wiggle!

The real bargain here is the rear light
Cateye TL-LD610 5 LED Rear Light for only £12.50
http://www.walkerscyclingshop.co.uk/productinfo.asp?ProductID=512

usually price £22-£25 elsewhere

If you want to spend a little more and get better quality/reliability than DX - have a browse through Shining Beam

There's a CPF code somewhere but can't find it just now

An example - Romisen-RC-dsh-2R4-II-R5

These are slightly modded - not the same as from DX. The guy who runs it super helpful too - unlike DX...

Let me know how it works, as Ive read that if you use it for MTBing (therefore with loads of vibrations), the bezel rotates on its own changing the spread of the beam. Not particularly helpful.

That's not too bad...

Here's a DX alternative for a rear light - possible 150 lumen - Ultrafire WF-501B Philips Luxeon K2 Red LED Flashlight

Actually - there's a whole raft of torches that are at about 60% brighter for the same money...

just do a search for Q5 on DX - search

+1 looks very good, ordered too.

Saw the deal for the other Smart light @ wiggle from last week & was half tempted but due to the issues with the dodgy holder I resisted. Look forward to getting hold of this so I can replace my current battered 5 led Smart that fell off the bike going 30mph down Brixton Hill!

Cateye are rubbish. not voting either way. You need to spend £50+ to get decent lights.

Depends really, if you need to light up a towpath to see where your going your probably right, if you just need some lights for a short commute then £50+ is a bit of an overkill.

Good deal. Walkers is a bike shop in my village of kilmaurs, Ayrshire but they do really well with customers coming from all over due to its reputation. This is in response to the guy wondering if its reputable or not.

I use one of these and have to say I am very pleased with it. Cars seem to give way (before they realise you're only a bike). The bezel does rotate changing the beam throw, but it's not too bad on the road. Off road you'd need to tape it up.

mine is fine but it sometimes can be a risk with DX.....their quality control is a little hit and miss sometimes. even if it does rotate you can always put another o ring on it to tighten it up.

for £8 you cant go wrong though. flood beam lights up the whole trail in front of you and spot lights up trees 100 metres away!!!!
