£140 elsewhere for the same set.
I've been shopping around for a new cycle computer. Wanted GPS enabled to easily share between a growing stable of bikes. But without all the bells and whistles of the more expensive Garmin computers.
This is the best I could find from a reputable brand south of £100. And the inclusion of speed/cadence and heart rate ANT+ compatible sensors makes this a real bargain for me.

There are some negative reviews on the web about the Cateaye sync software bundled with this. But there's also mention that most bugs have now been addressed in new version of the software.

Other options to consider (even better bargains if you don't care about the sensors or have some already):
- Stealth 50 without the ANT+ sensors - £58

- Stealth 10 - same computer but without the ability to connect additional sensors - £46

The emperor isn't wearing any clothes!
You can get a really good smart phone for that money.

Smart phones have poor battery life and you still need the app and HRM and cadence sensor. This is a good price.

Good luck with having a smartphone last more than a couple of hours when using GPS ... also, it becomes quite expensive replacing a smartphone if you have an off ... (My Garmin 500 has survived a few offs without even a scratch - yet!)

This is classic apples to pears.
For some cyclists a smartphone may work. This deal isn't for them.

But is a smartphone any good for a day-long ride?
Does your smartphone have a cadence/speed sensors (that also work on a turbo trainer)?
Does your smartphone have a heart rate sensor?

If you were to buy Bluetooth sensors for your phone, you'd be spending around £80.

Whilst I agree with most of what you say, you are incorrect re. HRM for smartphones. I have the Quadlock Bluetooth 4.0 HRM which works with Edomondo, iSmoothRun and a number of other apps...£45.

If you shop around you can get a BT HRM for even less - Polar H6 is a good example. But what I was referring to is the price of all sensors included. You're also getting an ANT+ speed/cadence sensor. Getting this in BT is a bit trickier. You have far less choices here, and prices are around £40. Hence the total of £80.
There may be smartphones out there that support ANT+, or there may be some in the making. Another option is to get an ANT+ receiver for your smartphone. I know Wahoo make one for the iPhone.
All these are far more expensive than this simple all-in-one package from Cateye.

That's why Froome is always looking at his stem, he's not checking his wattage, it's HUKD deal notifications!
