Cathedral City Mature Cheddar 400g now on BUY ONE, GET ONE FREE, obviously working out at 1p shy of £2 each, which I think is a good deal for a decent tasting cheese.

Cracker Barrel Cheese 200g is also reduced to £1.00

HOT!!

This is nothing special, as has been said before, there is usually a brand of extra mature cheddar priced around £5 per kilo on offer at most supermarkets.

Quite true, especially on Cathedral City recently, but it's still useful for people to know which supermarket the deal is at, at any one time, so they can get their Cathedral cheese fix!

BTW Morrisons also have a special buy on Morrisons Welsh Mature Cheddar 380g which funny enough is £2! ;)

You cant beat Cathedral City though. My one year old notices the difference when I buy another brand!!

Just went into Morrisons and no sign of this offer on the shelf. Took 2 packs to the checkout to do a price check and not on bogof - blank looks all round. This was Northampton store by the way.

Came away with the Cracker Barrel instead which works out at the same price.

I always feel this offer seems to be on every now and then :|

Yeah ....noticed the rain is like that.

Sainsburys have the same offer running at the moment, one brand or other is always on bogof at Tesco or so it seems. Still I'm not complaining.

Sounds like someone hasn't updated their system? If anyone else has an issue getting this deal, it's worth pointing out that this offer is advertised on their website offers page!

Glad you managed to get the Cracker Barrel though, as you say works out the same weight4price.

Never tried the Cracker Barrel, is it as nice?

They had Seriously Strong for £1.99 the other day & that's far nicer then Cathedral City & works out the same. So cold from me:p

What other website makes you want to buy Cheese! when you dont even need it!

That's a matter of personal preference as regards taste, and which you personally prefer, which has nothing to do with this deal, so rather unfair to vote cold, as the question should be, can you find this cheese, Cathedral City (800g total) for less than £3.99? rather than whether it tickles your taste buds as much as another cheese.

AFAIK the offer for the Seriously Strong cheddar has finished, which I must admit I don't prefer, but also enjoy BTW :D

Seriously Strong is better but this is still a good deal, heat added.

This offer is advertised on their website offers page, and should therefore be available in ALL stores (subject to stock availability!), if it isn't marked as such, then remind them this is one of their currently advertised promotion offers..
http://www.morrisons.co.uk/Offers/ It's under Fresh BTW! ;)

Co-op has this deal on too

Complained to Morrisons customer services and they said the on offer stock had not arrived at the store (apparently there's a difference) but they should have honoured the deal with existing stock. They have sent told the store to do this in future and are sending some vouchers in the post.

I'm glad you got it sorted out, thanks for letting me know. :D
It's just a shame they couldn't have done this at the time.Still, good on Morrisons for sending some vouchers, and admitting their mistake.I did have a similar issue myself some time ago, but they were good and offered to send me vouchers as well, which arrived within about 2 weeks from memory.

£10 gift voucher arrived yesterday with a letter of apology. Can't fault them on customer service.
