It's in English and it's a really good dub actually, quite a lot of the Persona 4 cast. I've forgotten if you can switch to Japanese but I don't think so....

There wasn't any option to change to Japanese dubs as far as I remember. I agree the English dubs were done very well, I just wish that for most Japanese games they would just leave it as it is and put subtitles. Most people who buy hard to get Japanese games, especially the RPG's would much prefer the original dubs rather than wait up to 2 years for games to be released with the crappy cheesy English voice overs. Final fantasy is a prime example of this. "Tales of" series has some decent dubs but I know I would prefer the Nihon voices.

You could not possibly be any more of a stereotype. "Nihon"? Jesus. X)
In addition, you could scarcely be more wrong. Citing Final Fantasy as an example of bad English voice work? Nonsense. The series generally has a very high standard of voice work. Oh what, you're going to mention the laughing scene from FFX? Perhaps you should look up the "Nihon" version of that scene on Youtube and enjoy the sound of two seagulls squawking at each other.
Also, no game has ever been delayed for "up to two years" to do English voiceovers. Any game that's been delayed for a lengthy period has been so for different reasons (mainly the fact that JRPGs generally sell like turd sandwiches these days unless they have 'Final Fantasy' on the box).

Stereotype? :S I'm confused at that one.
And final fantasy was an example I gave. I've only really played 13. Have you heard Fangs and Vanilles VO's? I'm assuming the rest of the series were just as bad. Star ocean is another game that had poor VO's. If games aren't delayed for re-dubbing then what are they delayed for? Yes they don't sell as well in the western world, but if the main companies (Namco, Square) are going to eventually release the game anyway, what sense would it make to wait? If anything it hinders sales.
It may be 'PAL' and work on our machines but this isn't the UK release. I'm guessing they've sourced it from Spain or somewhere. The gameplay isn't affected but the artwork differs, if that kind or thing bothers anyone.
It was an experience I won't forget for a long time Catherine (swoon), and I'm not even a fan of puzzle games.
I'd agree with Final Fantasy 13 kind of, but it's also the script that they're given. Troy Baker, who does the voice of Kanji in Persona 4 and Vincent in Catherine is fantastic, but in FF13/13-2 he plays Snow and do we really care about Snow? In Resonance of Fate the english dub with Nolan North is really funny and the Japanese voice track is quite poor. Same with the Disgaea series where humour doesn't translate.
The main thing is though, if there's an original language track it should be kept in and subtitled if there's an English voice track just so that people can choose. In the past it was because there wasn't enough space on a cd, now with DVD and blu-ray I have no idea why Atlus and FF games still only have English voices. To look on the bright side, with Catherine and Persona I think you'd miss out on a lot of the emotion and humour if you don't listen to it in your native tongue and there's lots of quotes that you'd only appreciate and remember in English.

Check out some of Balthier's lines from FFXII - Final Fantasy has managed some great English voiceovers ever since it started having voice acting.
The bad examples are mainly in the past, for example the terrible job done in the original Resident Evil.
The problem I tend to have with Japanese voice acting purists is that unless you speak the language you'll never really know if it's any less "cheesy" than the English dubbed version. At best, not being able to understand what's being said simply hides a script that is already cheesy when spoken aloud. A lot of RPG script IS pretty shocking when acted aloud. Japanese vs. English voice acting is also an unfair comparison when you consider the increased range of tonality in Japanese speech which when replicated in English comes across as cartoonish and as over-acting.
2 recent games which I tried but was completely unable to play because of the bad voices are The last story and Xenoblade.
