25 Kodak CDs were £2 something the other day - same as the half-price 100 pack for £8 something...

Hot.

Try Tesco SIM method to get FREE delivery. i.e. add a Tesco SIM to your order (cheapest SIM is £2.47 I guess) and the entire order is delivered Free. Return the SIM back to any Tesco store for full refund.

I would rate Kodak over Tesco anyday!

You're likely to pay a bit more at SVP or the like but I would avoid Tesco own brand disks. They may be ok now but they used to be shockingly poor.

Nonsense where media is concerned. You would think it made sense but.

You may well be right but you just never know until you know who actually makes the dye for the cd/dvd media. They may be made by same company.

It may be made in the sometimes in same factory, but generally ones failed quality control generally end up being these budget discs. Stick with Verbatim/TDK

I have had a few tesco cds and dvds and they are really poor quality, would not recommend them in-fact I threw some in the bin last week as most of my equipment, including 3 computers, can't read them....
#15
These may be different, but my experiences of Tesco-branded media in the past have been absolutely awful.

They never seem to burn at the speed you want and are incredibly unreliable - cyclical redundancy errors galore after reading them just a few times (and occasionally you're not even lucky enough to get that much use out of them).

If you do go for these, please just make sure that they are not used as your one and only backup of important files.

100 coasters for 9 quid? not too bad. If you're in the market for blank CD's leave these well alone- worst ones available

I wouldn't touch the tesco CD-Rs (least of all because they have tesco plastered all over them) but kodak are hardly quality discs anymore. As I posted in another thread:

"
Kodak discs were some of the best years ago, when they manufactured their own in Ireland. A few years back they stopped making discs and sold the rights to use the Kodak name to KMP.

KMP don't manufacture discs, they buy up any old junk from MBI, Prodisc and others and put it out under the kodak name.
