Thanks for the post.
I recently bought a tub of roses and threw most of them in the bin as there are only a few of the nice ones in there and the others are rubbish like that 'almond crunch'. Whoever taste tested that for approval should go to prison :D

Ive heard that you can get them delivered by the postman as they fit easily in a standard letterbox now

Kraft the company that owns Cadbury changed Cadburys Roses tubs by reducing chocolates per tub, introducing new bland chocolate rappers, reducing chocolate sizes, changing chocolate shapes and changing the taste of most of the chocolates.

The roses have changed to some strange kind of bubble pack instead of the foil and cellophane. I guess it saves them money and lets face it with £177 million profit the paid absolutely nothing in tax on it - I suppose they must need the money !

2 for £7 is usually the best deal you can rely on every year for the last couple years. To me, £4 is the normal price for these, £5 is the "I won't buy them unless I really have to" price.

The soar 2 for £7 just NI am I rite? After a wild goose chase round the midlands last week !

Does anyone know if the price based on weight is better value with the refill packs rather than the tubs? I'm sure I bought one tub of Celebrations last year, and then one refill pack of each brand and just mixed them all up in the one tub, because the refills were cheaper than tubs. But I've looked on Asda this year and I can't see how that could be the case this time (maybe they're smaller refill packs, I dunno)

These were 2 for £7 a month ago
#24
Cold, Roses £3.60 in waitrose. And as others say 2 for £7 quite recently and regularly.
#25
It's got me curious now. Does anyone have any sources to find out just how much Quality Street and Roses were in the 80s? Old Woolies Christmas catalogues or something?

Too true!
Kraft would put Cadbury's chocolate on dogshite if they thought it would turn even a slight profit!
Surprised they haven't had choccies with Philadelphia soft centres!
