Very poor league but that is a very good price for kids.

My Season Ticket is £560, so this is an absolute bargain if you've got a child that you'd like to take to the games.

by my calculations... its £25 a match... only 2 games you wanna c kids :)

this is a good price for Celtic season tickets. I am a Rangers fan myself but i don't see the point in saying its a bad price.. everyone has their team. Just a bit sad when certain losers decide that the Scottish league is pointless. Put Rangers and Celtic in the English league and you will see just how bad English football is when we top your tables !

BOOM!! Couldn't agree more

Quote carlos cuellar on a possible move to newcastle ' why would i leave a team that plays champ league football to move to one avoiding relagation'

Every post here but Damo's gets snide or nasty about other teams/countries/leagues. For God's sake GROW UP this is pathetic!

Celtic and Rangers would struggle for mid table if they joined the premiership, teams like Bolton would be challenging for the top two spots if they were in the SPL even the top championship sides would be right near the top.
#11
Exactly, doesn't matter if you like them or not! If you think its a good deal heat it up.
#12
Whilst it may seem like a good deal, I would have thought the reason to get a ST would be to see the games against Rangers.
They could always go and see thier local team?
#13
Sure the SPL aint the same quality as the Premiership but there is still some decent football played in it.

With regards to Celtic and Rangers not being able to do well in the Premiership. Yeah with the current teams they would be middle table or there abouts. But what most people fail to remember is that celtic and rangers only make around £2m a season in tv money where as teams like Bolton etc make over ten times that. So if both teams ended up with 1. the extra tv and sponsorship revenue and 2. had the lure of the premiership to get better players then you would see Celtic and Rangers giving the top 4 teams a run for their money.

Anyway great deal! added heat.

a very good deal for the under 12s
who perhaps you wouldnt want to introduce to the old firm games#
certainly not the very young ones
i wouldnt even contemplate taking a 5 or 6 yr old to an OF game
as for some of the posts by RASCISTS like the anti japanese scumbag above surely admin should do something about them?

If you're a Celtic fan then of course this is a good deal.

Just don't forget that it if you want to blend in then it'll cost you the same again in coins for throwing at the opposition..... :whistling:

I'm south of the border, there is no getting away from the fact that this is a great deal for young footy fans. voted hot!

Ive voted this deal hot. No one can argue its not good value.

But do you honestly believe that Celtic or Rangers would have a chance to win the English Premier?

Would you think teams like Spurs, Newcastle, Everton and Villa (for example) would be capable of winning the Scotish Premier?

i think u answered ur own question and the 4 teams u mentioned would quite clearly be able to win the scottish league....maybe apart from the barcodes

Would they win it with the size of their support and surviving on Scottish TV income- i think not:x

Seems like a good deal, if this is your kind of thing.
It's a good thing that it doesn't include the Rangers games. I got a season ticket at Ibrox when I was 9, and it's turned me in to a bigot.

It was just Juan Guy. Surely you must realise that by now. The same guy that coined Hugh Dallas, and the same guy that chucked a lighter at Fernando Ricksen, oh and the same guy that tried to skelp Novo with a mobile phone on Wednesday.

Do you think they'd manage it without the £40m of TV money, plus all the associated additional advertising and sponsorship revenues that come with that level of exposure?

Rangers would need 3 years to use that sort of investment and then there is no doubt we'd be challenging at the top of the league.

do you know anything about football ??

bottom of league team in premeirship earns more than winners of scottish premier league

if celtic and rangers were in premiership they would be top 4 in 3 seasons and dominating for years after it because of our fanbase

its only the money and league that stops top class players joining old firm not the teams
#25
Its a great deal, but i mean how can you say that celtic and rangers would not have a chance in english premier?.

I mean ive seen celtic beat big teams such as liverpool , man u to name a few. Rangers alone are doing great this season beating many big teams in europe. I know for a certain rangers and celtic would do well in premier..... but at the end of the day

i think u under estimate the size of the clubs concerned evrton r currently winning the premeier league when u discount the spenders, villa r very up an coming and spurs had a terrible start but the 3 teams their between them average over 110,OOO, forget the cavemen as they are still celebrating the intertoto cup 3 years ago

If Scotish football is so great, why did the National manager leave to join a club in the Premier that is likely to be relegated? Is Birmingham City bigger than Scotland FC? Seems that way!

Well they offered to treble his wages.
Its a difficult one to turn down rofl.

If a diddy team like Birmingham have that amount of cash, then obviously Premiership cash going into the Old Firm would boost it even more so.
Premiership has more money, but come on, any time we play against Premiership sides most the time we beat them.
#35
Voted cold, because no child should be exposed to a Celtic support.

Like many Scottish football supporters, l wish Celtic and Rangers could join the Premiership. They are massive in comparison to other Scottish clubs, so they can, and do, buy success. It would also eliminate sectarianism from the SPL in an instant.

And they would fit in well with the likes of Chelsea, Man Utd, etc, because most of their supporters have opted to support a successful club that is located many miles away from their home in favour of their less successful local club. :whistling:
#36
What's the point in a season ticket if it doesn't include the biggest game of the season? Good deal I suppose but I'd be annoyed if I had to buy extra tickets for my kids when I already have a season ticket. Good job I support the mighty Barnsley haha. :)
#37
just to remind some people that rangers and celtic as clubs promote the old firm brand, even though both clubs do there own self promoting, if it wasn't for the 'old firm' both clubs would not be as attractive globally. why do you think if we ever got to the premiership it would have to be both, not one or the other.

one thing i would say though, if we both got into the premiership, within a few years we would probably replace 2 of the top four easily and be competing for the league and champions league regularly. both these teams with the little money they receive just now over achieve as it is.

and just to add as a rangers fan this is a good deal. rangers have already announced somthing similar.

would any of the top four of england follow suit?

i doubt it.
#38
Heat added i think this is an excellent way to get more youngsters into footy, even if its North of the border.

I wish some of the top teams this side of the border would follow suit

Let's kick bigotry, sectarianism, hatred and racism out of football. The following is a quote from Celtic FC's social mission statement;

Who is Celtic Football Club for?

Celtic Football Club is for people who want to support a football club that strives for excellence in Scotland and in Europe, is proud of its history, supportive of its local community and seeks to support the following aims: “To maximise all opportunities to disassociate the Club from sectarianism and bigotry of any kind. To promote Celtic as a Club for all people, regardless of gender, age, religion, race or ability.”
Summary

Celtic is a club for everyone who believes in football as a medium for healthy pleasure, entertainment and social integration. The Club always has been and always will simply aim to be the team of the people.
