Check your school holidays! In my part of Wales terms ends on 23 December (it's the week before in much of England) and terms starts back on 9 Jan (really late!).

Center Parcs obviously don't realise this as I've just booked a 3-bed Executive Villa at Longleat for £419 for a mid-week break for 2 - 5 Jan 2012.

For comparison, it costs £859 for w/c 19 December 2011and £1099 for w/c 2 April 2012.

This is unbelievabley good price for Center Parcs during the school holidays!

center parcs is way overpriced i mean come on 1099 for 3 nights only a moron would pay that, i can think a million better places to go if spending that much

even £419 is not so bad but still silly imo

and im not poor btw

then again, haven is even worse value i guess. We went to a few but paid peanuts (<£80 for a week in July) and i cant believe people pay £00's a week to go there and they are a dump

If you go on your county council website there should be at least 18 months ahead of school holidays

good price if your kids off school have checked local authoritys website but unfortunatly ours breakup on the 16th. Centerparcs is brilliant imo but yes it can be overpriced but if you can get it for price posted its a bargain. Have voted hot as some people may be able to use deal X)

Are you sure you've got your dates right? I checked our county council website and the dates you quote are for Xmas 2012 to New Year 2013, not 2011-2012!

It's 4 nights Mon to Fri actually and for a family of 6 it's excellent value.

Our local authority website has term dates up to July 2012.

And no I don't work for Center Parcs as ifI did I'd be closing this loophole!

I'm trying to share good deals with others who like the place and can't believe this deal has been voted cold.

Show me where else a family of 6 could stay for this price with executive accommodation...

Hot from me.

Don't worry Kingcampo, I've posted CP deals on here in the past but people don't like CP so vote them cold despite them being a fraction of the correct 'half-term' prices. Thanks for the heads up, we've just booked for April 2012 at Elvedon.

Amazing Price - I vote hot! Centerparcs is expensive, but if you pick your times to go can get a good price, and the kids love it so much I would never boycott it just on price! those voting cold don't know what they are missing - maybe they shouldn't be so tight!

bargain price

This is a good price for you because the rest of uk schools are already back, hence the massive drop in price. Lucky if you can take advantage of it though.

this is a GOOD DEAL - why can't people just take it as a good deal for a centreparcs holiday, instead of just slating the company ?

If you don't like centreparcs and this deal is of no interest to you just move on to what you are interested in, there are plenty of us who do like to go.

Good deal, voted hot. If people dont like Centre parcs, then dont vote. Its a voting system for the deal, not personal preferences.....

That's a really good deal too but not really comparable with Center Parcs - different places but each available on excellent rates for that week.

Voted hot as this is an excellent deal for those with children in schools with a late return in Jan 2012 - unfortunately my local authority dates are the same as the rest of the UK.
We had always thought CP was overpriced but we took the plunge several years ago now and generally go for a break each year. We are probably not one of their biggest spenders as we generally take all our food and drink and self cater. Also we don't do all the extra expensive activities. We take our own bikes and my children are happy to cycle, walk and swim. Also it is a few hours up the road with very little hassle getting there. We always arrive on the first day at 10 am and leave on the last day late pm - to ensure that we get our money's worth!
My children all say CP is their favourite holiday destination - even over and above Florida! (Not at all cheap despite using airmiles etc - that's another post tho'........)

great deal but we're back at school on 4th Jan
#26
just come back from a week at Center Parcs and judging by the number of kids there I don't think many people worry about whether it's a school holiday or not :(

My missus and me never worried about taking our children out of school during term time, once a year.
We ALWAYS asked for premission to remove them in order that we could take a holiday. Other than this the children had a good attendance record, so we didnt feel guilty at all.

I think that the school only once complained.
I wrote in reminding them that quite a few children were removed from school before the Christmas holidays started and did not return until the second or even third week of term in January.
They then agreed to my request to remove our children for our holiday
Job done!
