Just to clarify, the north stafford hotel isn't actually in Stafford. It is opposite Stoke on trent railway station.

Hmm, might be a good deal but Britannia hotels tend not to be as comfortable (or clean in my experience) as a Travelodge. I have stayed at this hotel and it's not their worst so if you need a bed close to the station for the night it would pass but don't expect great things!

I used to drink here when waiting for my train, happy hour was £1.50 a pint! Looks like it was a great place back in the day, always quiet when I was in though.

"we did have to request that our bed be re-made as we found pubic hairs in the bed sheets. we had to call down to reception twice and wait about an hour for someone to come up and change the sheets-not good when you are tired and want to go to sleep"

free bar? i could drink well more than £23 quids worth in an hour and by the time i needed to go to my room i'd be so wasted i wouldn't even care if i had a roof, then breakfast and dinner thrown in. sounds alright to me, might take the mrs and get sh*tfaced on the cheap for a weekend (and maybe take my own sheets)

Bet you couldn't we stopped here a few weeks ago when they had a similar deal with the free bar for an hour. We managed to get 2 drinks as we had to wait 30 mins each time, the queue was a joke! Your only allowed 1 drink and you have to return the empty glass to get another.
