Bargain for 106 pages. Red Hot for me.
#3
Do I need download their software to create Photobook?
#4
I've ordered one of these before and they're really lovely. good quality too. You can fit multiple pics per page. I would definitely recommend. I'll be ordering another one now. hot
#5
Even hotter than the amazon local deal which was posted two days ago

I ordered an album for my husbands gran at Christmas. The quality is good but it does look a little small. I'd much prefer a similar priced larger album with fewer pages. I wouldn't buy A4 size again despite the good quality, that's just down to personal choice.
#6
Can someone definitely confirm the quality. I've been let down my deals like this in the past from photobox snapfish etc
#7
As long as the original pictures are good quality, the album is perfect quality. They give you a red/yellow/green face when you upload your pics.

Scanned pictures in general don't come out particularly well. I had an album made up with scanned photos from the early 1920's and the album printed out the same quality as the scanned photo which were a bit grainy.

You have to use their software, there's no online version to upload your pics.

But what about paper quality etc?
There is a big difference in quality for people looking for a more professional product. I just wonder where this company sits in the ratings?
#9
I've never had a photobook from photoworld but have order 4 calenders and they were brilliant!
Heat from me!

Does anyone know if this code words for other books? I'm keen on a square one. I did one recently off my honeymoon photos and although the software can be a bit clunky the end of the result was very high quality (which was good as it was a tad over £50).

This is excellent quality. Very impressed with mine. It also came top on the Gadget Show's testing of photobooks. Highly recommended.

I just tried to apply the voucher to an XL book for the same price, the code doesn't work.

I'm making one of these at the moment. The software is excellent
#15
When does it have to be used by?
#16
I ordered one from albeli around Christmas time. they really are fantastic. just beware that nicer paper will cost extra as will the type of binding.
#17
I had a lasertryk danish one last year and had 6 months to use it. Was just wondering what the time span is on this before I buy.

Yeah they take a looooong time... I've lost hours creating mine, lol! Options for editing the pages are brilliant on this software though :) (Too much to chose from)

Thanks for sharing, finaly get my wedding pics printed!

Thanks op. Downloading software just now

I was very disappointed with the print quality. The quality of the paper was excellent though. The major advantage with PhotoWorld is their 100% money back guarantee if you are not satisfied. I've ordered mine around the same price, spent a month making the album and was very disappointed seeing the end result. Called them for the refund and they have done it with out any problem. I don't recommend it as it's waste of effort.

Can anyone confirm how long you have to make the photobook? I'm looking to do a book for my bans 80th but compiling the pics will take a while I don't want to have to rush it!
Can't see anywhere on page that says you have x amount of days/weeks/months

I have just done a 72 page album, took me a few hours but with code it has come to £1 inc postage.
#25
They're excellent I've used them before, amazing deal

There always seems to be widely varying stories for these photobook offers - people who love them and people who were disappointed.

I do wonder how much the quality of the original photos plays a part - photos can look great on your phone and on Facebook, even when viewed full screen, but they seriously don't have the quality (they are heavily compressed) or the size (they are low resolution) to be printed out at A4.

For anyone that is complaining about poor quality - can you please provide details of the source of your photos ? And do you know about resolution and compression - eg. a 3000x2000px 3mb file will be far better when printed out than an 800x600 100k file - even though both can look very similar when viewed on your phone or laptop !

@milliejensonflynn: what code did you use? I thought this code was only for 106 pages...
#28
What's the expiry date on the offer? Is it valid for a few months?

Mse106pb, it's up to a maximum of 106 but in only needed 72. Think that's why it only cost me £1. It showed a discount of £60.24

Like some people on here I also wondered whether there was a time limit on completing the photobook and asked Photoworld directly and this is the answer I received:

Thank you for your email.

You do not pay for the book until you have completed the project and ready
to order.

You are free to take as long as you wish on the order as the project can
be saved to your computer’s hard drive when creating on the software. This
allows you to go back to it as often as you like.

Please be aware that if you want to use a promotional code then you do
have to place the order by midnight of the expiry date of the code.

Which if I read this right means you have to get this done by the 14th of this month when you actually input the promotional code otherwise you won't get the deal!

I think if you just used a different email address you'd be fine.
However it does say for new and existing so could be okay re using under existing account. I'm going to do another one with 72 pages and see if I can get it for £1! :)

hey guys, i have spent ages putting together a photobook but i selected the soft cover by mistake, any ideas how to change the cover type mid project? thanks
#35
Some really good features. Like that you can add frames from your videos. Can also store video via QR code on book for 3 yrs (extra charge).

Londog , if u go to first page, u should be able to change it
#36
thanks zaniby. unfortunately as i did this via the app on my phone, i was informed i would have to start again to change the cover type. so ive started from scratch and now it wont let me complete the order! error message keeps coming up. did 72 pages and with the code it came up as being free. only have to pay for p&p! hoping they can fix it for me
#37
Can anyone who has already bought this offer tell me how long you have to use the offer?
#38
see cambridge_blue's #31 comment - to be able to use this code it sounds like you need to create, order and pay for the book before midnight on 14 Feb.
#39
Thanks OP - have just ordered the 106 page book for £19 - excellent value. Took about 3 1/2 hours to do so I'm hoping it will be time well spent :)

Ordered more than one after registering as new customer. Hope they don't turn them down :(
