This doesnt appear to be the correct item.

The delonghi dec14 is as follows :

Ideal for drying laundry
14 litres of moisture removed from air per 24hours
4 litre tank capacity
Permanent drain facility
IP24 Splash protection
Washable dust filter
Compact design and carry handle
Electronic anti frost protection system
Humidistat

Where as the one at argos looks completely different and has a different sized water tank....

Yep Challenge is an Argos brand as I recall = whoever Argos have got to supply them for sale in Argos.

The 14L/day quoted is amusing as that would mean 9 manual interventions to empty of the 1.5L water tank!

I bought a 'cheap' dehumidifer from Netto a few years back and it went straight back - was a NOISY beast. No idea if this one is, but something to watch out for.

What Hot Weather:thinking:

Pretty handy in places like Scotchland where it's been raining for what seems like the last 3 years(when I'm at home anyway).

14L/day is extremely unlikely indeed, unless you live in the amazonian rainforest. 90% humidity? 32c? I had a similar specification Hinari Unit, which did the job very well and only needed emptying twice a day (it had a 3 l tank if i remember). Remember the warmer the room the more effective the machine. Works on the same principle as a fridge, with the warm moist air condensing on the cooling fins. Put it in a cold damp room and they dont work very well at all. Remember all dehumidifiers use a fair old bit of electricity.
