Ordered one, thanks OP

Just what I wanted! My Challenge convector heater just broke down, so was on the look out for one of these... Thanks

got one of these y'day. The castors at the bottom are not fixed, so a nightmare to move, as the castors keep coming off.

I bought thinking they were efficient. Not according to this thread....

I have the non oil filled version of this heater and it heats up so much quicker than the oil filled version. Which is better because it also cools down quicker so you're not wasting heat when you go to bed and switch it off.

So whats all the rave about these oil heaters!!! Think I may just can the order...

Someone made a wonderful point about Oil heaters that although they seem a good idea, you actually use just as much electricity with an oil heater as you do with a convector or fan heater... therefore unless you don't want the noise of a fan heater or the look of a convector heater I would just go for the cheapest 2KW heater you can find. Such as this one http://www.amazon.co.uk/2kW-Upright-Heater-Carry-Handle/dp/B0013G1V4Y/ref=sr_1_5?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1288118433&sr=1-5 for £11.37 inc delivery

I bought one of these last year and it only lasted 2 days. Took it back & got my money back.

I think you may have done it wrong, you have to press the castors on very hard until they click, mine dont budge, see if that helps x
