Maybe you will be lucky with stock in your local.

Ok for the newest diy'ers who have little in the way of drill bits.

* 6 x HSS drills (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8mm).
* 6 x Wood drills (3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10mm).
* 6 x Masonry drills (4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10mm).

for under 2 quid though, you really can't go wrong, even if they do only last once each.

For my local stores (about 10) it says "Order instore to collect" but when you order it comes up Out of Stock.

I found the same.

Picked up mine today ..... OK, not the best quality in the world and obviously not for the professional or very serious amateur. BUT, £1.99 .... what the heck do you want?
#8
Picked mine up last night - quality is very suspect, but at this price I view 'em as disposable drills! (mainly wanted them for the masonary drills that are part of the package....it's cheaper to buy this set than replacethe one that's gone AWOL from my porevious set.)

For £1.99 I would buy one good quality masonry bit for size of wallplugs I normally use. The problem with these cheap sets is you will bend the actual size bit you use (typically 6mm masonry), then be tempted to use the next size to it. The result: total bodge :-(

Don't expect the masonary drills to last long or drill into anything other than plaster or soft block - I've used these on concrete and hard brick and the tips rounded off and then melted (even at slower speeds) - better investing in quality bits for those tasks.... As for the HSS.....just stick to using them for wood.

Use a 5 and wiggle it a bit. The result: pretty good :-)

To put this into perspective - I hang one shelf at an angle per year. A drill bit that melts will help me greatly towards ensuring the job is done poorly - my missus will no longer ask me to drill anything - this is £1.99 well spent.

Well picked some of these up yesterday and used one of them to drill through some monitor wall brackets - 5mm aluminium 18 holes in all...and went through like a hot knife in butter...very pleased.

Love it :-D
