VOSA do car insurance? that's a first!

Here's a real world example involving no MOT and an rejected insurance claim.

And here's what the FOS say.

MOT

And two FOS examples of vehicle modifications and insurance claims.

Hahaha!! of course she does, strange the FOS doesn't agree with her.

And it's strange that VOSA doesn't agree with you!

When the bulbs arrive, make sure they are actually 'E' marked. I've ordered from three different sellers on Amazon & ebay who claim to sell UK legal 'E' marked bulbs, only to be disappointed when the bulbs arrive!

In theory, if you are involved in a car accident that is bad enough for your vehicle to be checked and assessed by the insurance company (or even the police) and they discover you have non E marked bulbs fitted, this could invalidate your insurance. (Note: it is quite common for assessors to check bulbs as they want to see if the bulbs were working at the time of the accident).

Non E marked bulbs should not pass a UK MoT test either.
Complete rubbish.

Read and learn
Lol! right, some random on ebay selling bulbs, how about you do some googling and see under what circumstances the insurance on your car can be invalidated, I think you'll be surprised.

Don't have to mate - other half works in an insurance call center. She has to break the news to folks quite regularly that their car is modified from manufacturers' spec and that they are not covered.
Great if you enjoy replacing lamps in your car. Personally I would buy a known brand with good life expectancy and avoid the hassle.
