Can't really find a place that allows you to pre-order though.

Are there any working links available?

Tried ordering this but the site won't accept any of my payment cards. anyone else having his problem?

This is very clever in some respects. People who normally download it for free on hooky torrent sites are now paying £2.50 to do it. Fair play Eidos for using peoples greed against them. Brilliant marketing.
#10
Damm right malgail. i think is genius. I would normally get it free but this change things!!!!!
#11
I think they're doing it to get some market share back from Football Manager which is by far the better game....
#12
Is it me or when you go on Champ Man Store website you have to have a username and password? How do i set one up? On the official Champ Man Website?

Getting the same thing - can;t see jack without name/pass ... i'm guessing that their site is FUBAR'd ???
#14
Whenever I try to access the links to the store, I just get asked for a password :?

Have tried IE in case it was a Firefox issue, but no joy
#15
It seems if you sign up on www.championshipmanager.co.uk that username and password don't work. Something must be up?

agreed.

Championship Manager has never been the same since Sports Interactive and the Collyer Brothers left.

cold vote from me because this is a poor product, and from play.com £27 odd pounds more will get you the byfar better product Football Manager - good price for a years worth of entertainment imo
#17
I downloaded the demo of this the other day and gave up playing it after less than 30mins, truely awful game, poor menu's and generally confusing set up. To do anything it takes to many steps/clicks.

I would recommend just paying out for FM2010 for a more pleasurable and professional looking gaming experience.
#18
Looks like they are having technical issues putting it up onliine. Read here http://forums.championshipmanager.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=60279

Should be available soon

woop its working now!

If I could, i'd vote this comment cold. FM09 was an absolute shocker of a game.

i will add that the last one i played was 2008.

i've lost the time and patience for football management games!

Will this run on a Samsung NC10?

Not sure how the Atom processor compares with the P4 3Ghz...
Also not sure whether the minimum graphics card requirements are met by the NC10?

I'd still prefer play 99/00 or 00/01 game, those we the good old days

my top 3:

CM 97/98
CM 2003/2004 (i think it was)
FM 2006

i really don't want to see a full 3d version of the game - or even photos of the players - it shatters the illusion of fantasy football

about time games were made available like this for years they have been ripping us off with prices for games i would normally download a game like this for free but would happily pay the 2.51 for this i dont want fancy artwork, nstructions and to pay the shops markup i dont even want a disc if i can help it

hot from me evn if the game is rubbish better to have only paid 2.51 for it than over 20 quid

There's a problem with the link they've posted in the article on their site! If you go to www.champmanstore.com it asks you for a username and password. Go to www.champmanstore.co.uk instead and it all works.

However, I then had a problem processing my card on there. Seems it didn't like Firefox! Did it all through on IE and it worked fine................altho I haven't received my confirmation email yet :?

Hot deal mate.

I was going to add rep BUT I think your a gunner if your not let me know and I will rep you up.
#30
Thanks for this worth a few quid used to be a champ man fan but turned to footy man over the last few seasons
#31
Tbh this years effort of Champ Man looks vastly improved they need to iron out some bugs but apart from that its gaining on fm and vastly superior in some areas.
#32
The update thing is a fiver and after reading about, looks quality
#33
keep getting errors when I try to pay!

worked ok with IE. FF was giving errors
#35
anybody tried downloading on a nc10

thanks mate giving it a whirl now taking a lifetime to download

very intriguing

I feel that SI have gone way over the top with FM now, the days when it was great fun and you could kill ages on it have gone.

Before in an hour you could get through a stackload of games. Now FM is slower and more things to do, its just not as fun...it seems more a chore. The press conference is a nice touch but a month into the season and your sick of it. It should only be for the biggest games of the season.

I think Im gonna give it a shot, smart move by Eidos because at this price it could bring the casual gamers back into it.

Great news is on the 11th sept, release day, they are gonna release a free download update to update the game to the end of the tfer window. And allow you to start your game from July 1st proper, or July 1st with the fully updated squads. (http://www.championshipmanager.co.uk/server/show/ConWebDoc.1051)

Gonna dl the demo and see how it goes

Wow...that is really cheap.
I wonder if there's any chance it'll run on a 1.8 Ghz Athlon xp?

Don't see why not. It is still running at about 1.1ghz isn't it?
