I was looking for a vacuum for cleaning out my loft space and found this one. Reduced from £139.99 to £99.98, it's not much more expensive than the Henry but has a bigger capacity and is recommended on several DIY forums by the building trade. I collected in store today and was also offered an insurance policy whereby Homebase will replace the 'Charles' in three years time, the cost was a further £14 (discounted from £19). The offer seemed to good to be true so didn't buy (regretfully). Got the hoover home and it's excellent quality.

Specification:
Twinflo 1200W Motor, Airflow: 40 L/sec, Capacity Dry 15 L /Wet 9 L, Weight: 7.1 kg, Size: 355x355x500mm

Getting it 'damaged' can easily be arranged ;)

Lost or stolen X) Not sure I know any burglars who'd break in to nick a wet/dry vac with a face, but there we are.

I've heard Henry's have good suction...is Charlie any better at sucking?

I dread to think what nefarious plans you have for Charles should he indeed suck better than Henry lol.

I've got electricians in at the moment doing a rewire and they've left a Henry Extra overnight so I sneakily had a go of it (stop sniggering!) and it's really good. I wonder if there's a Charles Extra, will have to investigate.

Btw if there's any Zappa fans out there, Henry reminds me of the Chunga's revenge.

Ah, I remember Charles. When I worked in a shop as a lad we had to use him to suck up the excess water when the floor was cleaned. Very robust, I recall the guy I worked with tried to break it to get out of doing the floor!!!
