i guess that is one way to stop people buying in quantity again. Great marketing, its not often that you come across a deal that will cost you more when buying more than 1

I know everything is automated these days but surely someone somewhere typed in these figures!!?? Didn't they think WTF!?

Heated up!!!!!!!!!

Gets me that a member of staff put the ticket out without reading it. Was in M&S today and they have fruit fingers £2.29 each or 2 for £5. Asked an assistant about the offer and laughed and took the ticket down. Do these stores employ staff that can't read?

doesnt stop people buying quantity !

They must have meant 2 for £3 surely? Quite funny, good spot!

If you do actually get charged £6, then there is a case for DTD.

Buy 2, goto Customer services state you've clearly been over-charged & want DTD refund (£5.08).

Tescos did this on the lucozade too!

Tescos also did this with rice £1 for 1 or £3 for 2:w00t:

Why should the Staff member worry about it? They are paid to put a ticket out, if the price has come down from head office (or wherever) wrong then that's someone else's problem. Managers get payed to worry about things like this.
Just do what your payed to do.

Everyone in a company is responsible for the success of that company be they in head office or at branch level. It just goes to show the level of intelligence of some members of staff when they don't spot simple mathematical errors or just as bad can't spell correctly.

Thats the sort of guff you get told in training. :-D
I'd suspect that the member of staff is so overwhelmed with productivity targets and such like that they couldn't give two hoots what the label says, as long as they have done what they are supposed to do.
Gone are the days where SA get to stand about all day tidying up.

good attitude there  along the lines of 'I only get paid to stack shelves, why should I rotate'. Can't stand people who whine I dont get paid to do this that and the other, whats wrong with doing a decent job and going beyond what is expected, have a bit of pride

These tickets are always on show at my local Tesco, I have given up telling them as they don't seem to care and never even look at the ticket in question.
The offer doesn't go through at the higher price, its a misprint but still annoying anyway.

I understand what you are saying and I hate a jobs-worth as much as the next person but the fact is that in these type of jobs you get a telling off for using your own initiative.

"Jane, why aren't you stacking the shelf?"

"I found this mis-price and was sorting it out"

"It's Carols job to find them, go back and stack the shelf"

Sadly It's how these businesses work these days.

I must be an old breed then, as it only takes a couple of minutes and most managers would welcome the opportunity to correct an error particularly when it comes to incorrect pricing or promotions that in all could affect the business's takings.

You are so right ! Sales assistants are not allowed to have a mind of their own and do something other than the job they have been given! Someone higher up in the pecking order has to see to mistakes etc. Wouldn't do to have ideas above your station now would it ? Similar thing happened in m & s the other day, " Sharon what are you doing over there ? I put you on this department " She replied "Oh I was just sorting something out for a customer ", Higher up in pecking order standing around doing nothing replied, " Well , get back where I sent you " !!!!!!! Doesn't do to step out of line does it and actually help the customer.!
