  It's just a vodka, better go russian standard and you'll be ok.

  I don't get what these "premium" vodkas are all about. For centuries the goal of vodka makers was the cleanest and purest flavourless neutral spirit they could make, a difficult thing when you're using pot stills. These days with modern hi-tech reflux stills it's pretty easy to make very clean tasting vodka yet we have all these bogglingly expensive vodkas which are all "flavour" and "character" blah blah blah. We blind taste tested some supermarket vodka, think it was Tesco, and some Russian Standard, everyone thought the supermarket one tasted better. If you want a spirit drink to sip and savour you want something with some real flavour, whisk, cognac, gin etc, if you want vodka then surely you want a smooth clean and pure mix of ethanol and water with an absence of flavour?

  Not arguing with anyone's taste etc, but can anyone actually find it cheaper? I happen to like it (yes I drink it neat), and saved ~£7 on the usual price :)
