£9.49 @ ALDI
Always a good wine for Christmas day. Bought today not tried, cracking price, never normally see this type of wine below a tenner

Certainly TESCO's biggest threat for 2015, good on this company going toe to toe with the once BIG boy.

Only hot if its nice. Don't assume just because its a pape. You are paying for a name. Just my opinion!

It seems to be an exclusive of Aldi and not very good scores at the only place I found it mentioned http://www.vivino.com/wineries/charles-de-monteney/wines/comte-de-monterey-chateauneuf-du-pape-2013

i shop at Aldi too, seldom at Tesco, but they will never eve be a threat to Tesco as when they are as big as Tesco they will become as inefficient as Tesco with senior British mentality.

This is a poorly reviewed wine. Tesco sell 1 in every 4 bottles of wine in the UK and often have many offers on a wide selection of very good wines. Aldi is generally aimed at the budget shopper for below average wines that are cheap and drinkable in their opinion. Aldi can never offer what Tesco does and that's why almost 30% of the market shop at Tesco and less than 5% at Aldi.

Worth a punt i think i had recently bought a £15 bottle of pape from sainburys also for Christmas it'll be to see how they fair against each other
