ASDA have delicious bottles of Chateauneuf Du Pape 2008 on offer at just £7.00 per bottle. This is available online or in store. I picked up six bottles tonight and have just drunk one of them. As a result the details that i type may be slightly nonsensical but are definitely true! Get some in and enjoy!

that is a steal. chasse du pape is nice but chateauneuf du pape is excellent. especially at this price. expect to pay £40 a bottle of this in London restaurants!

Nice post, Tesco also have Promenade des Papes Plan De Dieu "Cotes Du Rhone" for around £5 a bottle which is also very nice.

Good price provided that its a good tasting wine. Some Chateau neuf du pape isnt that good..... got some from Tesco last year on offer at around £8 and it was AWFUL! - It tasted like a £1.99 bottle of cheap cote du rhone, and in thought it may have been cheap because someone had put it in the wrong bottle! The £13.99 stuff from sainsburys was much more palatable.

Morrisons have a similar offer (until 3 jan 2010) at £7.99

They also have an amusing bottle of Chat - en -oeuf (cat on egg) with a picture of a cat sat on an egg at £4.99 which was surprisingly pleasant!

Just ordered me some of this.

Also tempted by the TesKo Promenade des Papes Plan De Dieu !!

If you buy a bottle you don't like from Tesco just take it back for a refund; that's their offer (probably others too). They even accepted a bottle I bought in their shed at Calais.

Woop, I can top up as the 12 Wolf Blass I got under the Morrison's offer don't seem to be lasting as long as I would have hoped! Anyone know how much online delivery is (They deliver to me, but I CBA to register)?
#14
They are dishing out FREE delivery codes for orders over £50 at the mo. I had one come through. Worth creating an account and seeing if it offers it in checkout process - note you have to add it to the order.

Great deal and best wine to have with Turkey (in my opinion) Will get Hubby to pop there later! Thank you very much.

I love that wine, mainly for the picture on the bottle :)

Hmm, I'm sure 2009 is a far better vintage.

I reckon this is just a load of old pape!

If London restaurant sold rats pee for £40, people would still buy it as long as the name on the bottle impressed their friends.

Went to the Leicester store last night, picked up 4 bottles. Also noticed the asda extra special version also from £7 but down from just under £20, whereas the normal one is down from just over £15.

Both great deals, i'm sure my french in-laws will approve :santa:
