Charlton and Bury both offering £5 entry is of course a much better deal than Level 8 football for £4! But lets not take away from what Chatham are doing here. Semi Pro clubs at this level really struggle to make ends meet, and the normal £8 charge is set not out of greed but because its generally a "break even" point. If you've never been to a Ryman League game, and you're local to Medway, you could do a lot worse for £4 - something you don't get at Charlton and Bury is the option to have a beer while you watch the game, and stand on a terrace! At Chatham, you can do both, and there's decent proper beer for sale too (Bishop's Finger, Whitstable Bay and Masterbrew)
Its fine if you speak Polish/Latvian/Kosovan or indeed any other Eastern European language, you will blend in fine, dont forget the thermals though if venturing into the new riverside bus station.
But that would mean venturing near to Chatham town centre. Is it worth the risk?
Bury vs Brentfordis £5 admission for everyone and that is a LOT higher up in the football pyramid -,,10422~2500665,00.html
If Cold Deal Larry can let me know what teams "a lot higher up the football pyramid" offer adult entry to a league game for £4, I'd be glad to hear it. Chatham's £8 is the average charged in the Ryman League Division One, which sets a minimum price of £6.

Get along and see some non league footy - played with a passion often not seen in the pro game.

Charlton vs Oldham this weekend is £5 for an adult ticket, not sure about other prices. I'll be there.
both teams suck but i love Ryman Football ^^ Bargain
