I did one of these deals years ago on vodafone. The advantage back then was they credited your bank account via bacs your monthly line rental, every month just after the line rental went out. No cashback messing. Under these conditions it was great. They don't do it like that anymore, so may aswell get a new handset.
how do you search for sim only offers on the chatterbox website?

been looking for other ones but cannot seem to find any

I can't see the advantage of this over getting a similar offer which includes a free phone that can be sold on if not required.

Agreed
Ahhhh lol

Wasnt expecting that was "that" bad deal.

The freezing temperature made me giggle! Other than that, this could be a bad deal!

Anyway, this is trial and error!
I can't see the advantage of this over getting a similar offer which includes a free phone that can be sold on if not required. Is there a reason why this might be better?

The new, smaller iPod shuffle is out on 28th October, available to Pre-order from apple, amazon etc. for £55, for 1GB.

Now made of sleek, durable anodized aluminum, the new iPod shuffle weighs in at about half an ounce and is less than half the size of the original and thanks to the simple built-in clip, you can carry up to 240 of your favorite songs on your shirt sleeve, purse strap, waistband, anywhere.

xbox is pointless
yeh got that email too, they label it "promotional stock" and there for don't have to fulfill anyones orders as "no stock left" excuse.

Although the current 360 "premium's" they are selling are still infact core systems with bits added, so technically the stock is still there? Also Microsoft have never had promotional 360's so isn't that just BS and possibly a second loophole for us?

anyone actually get one? or was it just a huge mess up on chatterbox's part?
Have received 2 e-mails from them.
This is 2nd one

Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience.

As an organisation that believes in excellent customer services, we feel unfortunate to learn that you have been dissatisfied with the services provided by us. Unfortunately, we had received the promotional stock and as we ran out of stock very quickly we were unable to process your order. The promotional stock which we received had different pricing as compared to the original price which is still available on the website.

We would like to confirm that no money has been taken out by us from the card details which you had provided for the purchase of this order. As per the Terms & Conditions all the offers depend on stock availability.

End of story as far as we are concerned :)

has anyone who has sent them an e-mail got a reply back from them.

I have sent them a nice e-mail politely saying that, as they now have stock in, I am looking forward to them honouring original order

Don`t think they will

Do you

I havn't had a cancellation call as yet, the order is still showing in my account and I have quidco cashback tracked too. No word on dispatch yet, I don't expect it will though, but if they say they are out of stock I can point 'em towards the current 360s for sale :)

EDIT: Just checked my account again and it's cancelled, gonna email them why, and I'll letcha know what excuse they come up with

Can't believe the Quidco cashback is now only £10. Chatterbox deals are some of the best on the net so I guess anything is a bonus and they are a reliable and reputable company.

Another good thing about Chatterbox is that if the original bill doesn't arrive for your cashback claim you can request a duplicate from the network and this will be accepted:

From the Chatterbox website -

2. Can I submit my bills online or send photocopied bills in order to claim my cash back?

As per our terms and conditions we cannot accept photocopies, faxes or online bills. If you do not receive your monthly bill please request a duplicate copy from your network provider.

Dodgy retailers will insist on the original only. In the past I have requested a duplicate bill from '3'. This was an exact duplicate of the online bill. The benefit of the online bill is it is an exact copy of your original bill.
Well a year ago TomTom didn't really help themselves as you could only buy the complete package and not the software on its own... so people who already had a GPS were 'wasting' their money buying another one. At the time it was easy to obtain the software so this is probably where the 'free' came from. I am not sure if things have changed - it still looks like they make you buy the full package.

Still a good phone though... never had a problem with mine. Hope an offer like this is around when my 18 months run out. Would have this phone again but maybe go for the 6680.
Thanks Searcher2 :)

Ducky mentioned about a Free GPS Nav software for 6630. Hence my query ...
Just been to Quidco, and chatterbox is (now) only a tenner
There is no free alternative version of TomTom that I know of. What do you want to know about the software? The official way to get the software is to buy a complete bundle including GPS and the software on memory card. I wouldn't condone other ways to get the software!

http://www.tomtom.com/products/category.php?ID=2&Language=1&TT=2ojfhb4pb28flneb7fudnf3no4

A good place to find out about your 6630 and what you can have on it is here

http://www.3g.co.uk/3GForum/forumdisplay.php?f=353

Also check out the 6680 forum if you are interested in TomTom

The first application I loaded onto my 6630 was an autolock function which locks the phone after xx seconds of non-use to stop it calling numbers when it is in my pocket. It doesn't come as a standard function on the phone.

6 x 5 = 30

30 + 35 = 65.

Correct. :-D

LoL, and to brush up on your Maths ;)

By Maths my Dear Ducky 35 + (6 x 5) = 65

6 x 5 = 30

30 + 35 = 65.

Correct. :-D

EDIT: Thanks X10, it seems I use fuzzy math.
Nah, I usually put the minimum term cost in there which is the months paid for minus QuidCo usually, although I state that you should use QC in the post too. ;)

The ones where I put £0.00 it means it's totally free (all 12 months) and often a profit when you use QuidCo!!
duckmagicuk2
Thanks X10. 8)

Fixed the price and added my reasoning in there too.

--EDIT--

How did you get that?? Do you agree with what I've added in the first post or have I missed something??

By Maths my Dear Ducky 35 + (6 x 5) = 65
And the QuidCo amount because ChatterBox gets you £20 through QuidCo -> 65 - 20 = 45

:)

Thanks for that, I was thinking about the cost of the phone:confused:

lopinavir, Welcome to HDUK. I had a Mobile from Chatterbox about 4 years ago. Crap cashback T&C's then. I lost a lot of money.
This deal seems good and their T&C's are much better now. Good find OP.

I made 2 successful claims with the company about 3 years ago, I didn't have any problems with the cashback process.

I am still waiting for 3 x £100 rebate from Chatterbox.
Please be aware that you may not get the money back, even if you follow all the rules. It's safer to go through a large company, even if you get a little less.
Thanks from me too buggzy :)

Added a pic to your post.
There's another good offer with the Three Network HERE. It's on a refurbished Nokia 6680, a very powerful phone, and it's at the Carphone Warehouse so the cashback is very reliable.

Thanks for your first deal!! :D

Fixed the Go To link, it now takes you to all the 3 network offers and make sure you choose the correct package [as hotdealseeker says above].
hotdealseeker
the 'go to deal' link doesn't work.

saw "12mth 1/2price on 3" on the main site! but later realised it's on 18mth contract. so BE AWARE people don't get on the wrong contract.

phones from 3 will be locked to the network, currently it is not possible to unlock this phone, so this is one more thing of consideration. unless you can wait for 11mth into the contract, when 3 will be liable then to unlock it for further £15/20.

There is a problem with the link so the link now takes you to the homepage. Yes the phones are locked to the network but If you want a really good deal the its worth considering. Porting to the '3' network is really easy too, it takes a week to port your number once you're connected with your temporary number.

I've been on the '3' network for over 4 years and just take out a new contract each year to get the best deal.
