In itself this is a decent enough MP3 player...but about 6 months ago there was a similar deal on this very MP3 player (was £20 which was good at the time) HOWEVER, a LOT of people had to return the units as they were freezing when transfering music files (it happened to mine!!)

So i would imagine these 'refurbished' ones are those that have been fixed - owuldnt like to say for sure, but it would be a huge coincidence.

BUT, if theyve fixed the problem then i cant see a problem with this deal...VOTED HOT!!

Buy a cheap fan ( £1.99) and get free delivery on both items. Just search for fan , and they start at £1.99.

So a 2Gb MP3 player and a keychain fan for £7.98 delivered.

These were £49.99 a year ago, I bought one at £24.99, not bad but painfully slow scrolling through the list of music if you have loads of music on it.

A lot of these got returned faulty when i worked for PCWorld, but for 5.99 its worth the risk even if you only get a few months use out of it!

Guessing if its refurbished whatever fault(s) would have been sorted?

Good price though, voted hot.

This player has probably the worst reviews I have ever seen for anything. But if you are willing to crawl through this thread on Cnet then there is a firmware fix available for it:

Eh... my posts just disappeared on this??? I only put a comment about using it as USB data pen instead if is rubbish??? Someone else said it was USB 1.1 but according to PC world, it seems to suggest usb 2.0:

Ordered 4 of these, every single one works perfectly. I actually thinks these are pretty good (for the cash). Comes in white box with a Matsui sticker on side. Looks like they have been updated with a firmware, but if not you can download the latest from here: (posted by someone on a previous discussion)
