Negative. Full HD TV is history and confined to the bin. Put little more money and buy 4k TV. Unless you watch rubbish Now TV box sold here with very poor eye hurting 720p resolution.

while I have a 4k tv your talking through your behind. Unless your interested in a 4k disc player or want sky / Netflix 4k , a 1080p tv is fine for another 5 years easy

I think that is a little harsh and no one with a 1080P TV need fear it becoming obsolete as even 4K capable devices will almost certainly be able to play back at 1080P thank to the backwards compatibility inherent in the HDMI standard.

That said the price difference between full HD and 4K is getting smaller all the time and so unless you are on an EXTREMELY tight budget I'd say it is getting to the stage where the better value option is often the 4K set considering that the 4k features if not used right away will probably see some use within the lifespan of the TV....

Look at the negative votes. Some people just love vintage stuff. In five years this will be vintage as well :D

Negatives probably because £240 is quite expensive for a refurb 48" in today's market.

1080p is fine. The average lifespan of a newer Vestel TV is less than 3 years anyway.
