I read earlier about 4 duracell batteries for an "amazing" £1.74. Well, I have a Nintendo Wii, and as such need MOUNTAINS of AA batteries at the moment. I found this site doing Duracell PROcell AA batteries at a price of £2.98 for 10.

Delivery however is £2.00 per order. But it meant i got 30 AA batteries for £10.94 including delivery at xmas. Thats 37p a battery!

the site reads:

Duracell AA alkaline PROCELL Batteries MN1500
Pack of 10 Duracell Procell AA MN1500 size Alkaline Batteries in bulk packaging
Duracell needs no introduction, probably the most popular battery brand in the world, These Procell batteries are the Duracell solution for Professional and Industrial use. Only available in bulk packs of 10 pieces, they offer a significant cost saving over the retail packed product.

Equivalent to the following sizes
ANSI size 15A
IEC size LR6
MN1500
AA Pencell

 nice find , get peed off with getting robbed for batteries

Great deal, but as this is a moneysaving site I feel it would be a dereliction of my duties not to say you really should invest in a decent fast charger and rechargeables. Sooo much cheaper in the long run plus you would make that well known lifelong green campaigner (except when he was actually in Government, of course  ) Al Gore soo happy.:-D

Thanks for the post EviL Ras and welcome to the HUKD forums :)

I made a lil comparison with the other AA battery offer posted, think i might well go for a decent rechargable bundle off ebay tho.

LOL @ warfish. How quaint!!

lol nice work all round

Rechargeables...yup...seem cheaper, but will self-discharge over a relatively short period of time...compared to a shelf-life of over 5 years for the alky Duracells!
And yes...I'm procrastinating from Uni work too.... ;-)

...but of course, rechargeables are a no-brainer for your Wii!

orr, you can get 10 for 99p @ IKEA :)
#12
How do these compare in performance with the Duracell M3 range of batteries?

If these Duracells AA's are Alkaline batteries (£3 for 10 pieces), why not talk of a decent bargain available at Poundland. You can pick up 3 packs of 6 (18 pieces) for same price. These are Memorex Alkaline (Top brand...ask any electronics geek). Alternatively same for Hyundai Alkaline.
But why not spare our planet of nasty disposable batteries when you can buy 4 Rechargeable Nickel Cadmium AA batteries for a quid at Poundland. The IKEA batteries mentioned above are cheap ZINK category batteries...like comparing apples to water melons.
Lesson in battery quality: 1.)Lithium Ion best; 2.) Nickel Cadmium; 3.) Alkaline; 4.) Zink etc.
