I'm not sure that's really a hot deal, even if it is plucked off MSE :)

I have one of these already :) They are really nice little players for the price, we've never had a problem with ours yet and we've had it about a year now I think!

I remember a couple of people posting messages complaining about deals on here being posted on the MSE forums. I believe it is all fair game and anybody interested in saving money will probably be members of both sites, or at least recieve the MSE e-mail, like myself. OK it means more people going for deals, but if I miss out on an offer cause its full or expired, which isnt often, I am just glad that someone else has gained from it, and saved money from it. More often than not another deal comes along, virtually replicating the last one. We shouldn't be fighting each other for deals rather we should be joining together towards the bigger cause of fighting over priced good and services :-D :2cents:

Tesco have a budget DVD player that is available in their stores. Its a Tesco's Value one. Again its fairly basic but it its interesting to see you can nearly pickup a DVD player for the same price as some DVD's.

Well it seems a pretty good deal to me..Whilst i agree it may set your world alight, may be a good stocking filler for Christmas.
With regards to posting stuff from MSE, i believe many of the listings here have been taken from various money savings sites..To be honest, if it seems a good deal, does it matter where the source is?? I'm sure many forum members don't regularly visit MSE..

Wow, the size of stockings has certainly increased :pirate:

Indeed I was one the people promoting the positive aspects of HUKD and MSE working in tandem. I was simply trying to add weight to my point that I didn't think it was hot simply because it was posted on MSE.

We had one that worked fine for a few weeks then stopped recognising most of our discs and just generally started behaving weirdly. We sent it back and got a full refund...

I don't think we were the only ones to have problems with this one, either.

Read lots of good reviews for the price. Just ordered one as a "stocking filler".
Thanks

It's not multi-region out of the box but follow these simple instructions and it soon will be:

1. Press the Open button on your remote control to open the drive tray
2. Press the Setup button on your remote control
3. Press the Next button on your remote control
4. Press the Next button on your remote control
5. Press the Next button on your remote control
6. Press the Next button on your remote control
7. The currently selected region should be displayed on the onscreen display
8. Using the Left button on your remote control, change the region to 1 for region 1, 2 for region 2, and so on, or 255 for multi-region playback
9. Press the Setup button on your remote control

Remember, every penny counts ;-)

...and here you will save 5 of 'em!

(It's a pity you missed the similar model Argos were shifting during half-term for £14.99)
