Cheap Blu-Rays HMV Oxford Street £3.00

HMV Oxford Street are selling off lots of Blu-Rays for £3, to name a few I picked up Casino Royale, Anchorman, Lovely Bones, Terminator 2, The Damned United. Had loads of stock.

Store specific. Stock remaining from the closure of the Bond Street store - quite battered but worth a look if it's for your own use (and not to give as a present!).

Grief. Are they closing?
#2
nationwide?
#3
Just Ox Street branch I think, sorry.
#4
Yep, checked Crawley at the weekend after the £3 Transformers / Watchmen thread, and everything was still exorbitant in there.. Store specific unfortunately..
#5
Just picked up Transformers 2, Watchmen and Terminator Salvation for £3 each.

Also, they have a Blu Ray Starter Pack which gives you Hellboy, a HDMI cable and the PS3 Blu Ray Remote for £3 also, bargain.

That's HMV Oxford Circus right?
#7
Yes, well inbetween Tottenham Court Road and Oxford Circus.
#8
can anyone confirm theses prices in manchester?
#9
just called, I think store specific.. =(

OK Just back from the store. Completely store specific, it's due to the Bond Street branch closing, and, a helpful shop assistant tells me, it's the stock they couldn't send back to the supplier. Therefore it's really battered and a lot of it is opened. The range of Blurays is very limited - about 20 titles in all, including Funny Bones, Revenge of the Pink Panther, and a few Terminator 2s. No Casino Royales or Anchormans (men?) when I was there (2.30pm today). A lot more DVDs though, and some ludicrously priced 8-DVD sets at just £3. And some PS3 games too on the ground floor next to the chart CDs. But all looking VERY battered and would be for your own personal use and not to give as a present. Hope this helps.

I also just went to this store (Oxford circus not bond street) They had a couple of shelves of clearance. Loads of Watchman at £3. I could only find one Transformers 2. Only other blu rays were Elvis and wonder woman. Can anyone confirm that there are better blu rays either in the Bond street HMV or Shaftsbury ave Fopp? I'd snap up anchorman and lovely bones at £3.

Not sure I agree with you there. Some may be 'battered' but the ones I picked up were all in perfect condition and sealed, as were the vast majority on the shelves. There were a few staff members bringing boxes of them out and loading up the shelves and from what I could tell they were all sealed and in normal retail condition.

Not the greatest selection, but 4-5 decent ones like mentioned previously in the thread plus titles like The Orphanage, The Spirit, Max Payne.

dmartins13, the Bond Street store is closed, hence their stock being on sale at HMV.
AK Gunners, maybe we looked in different spaces; there is a selection downstairs as well as upstairs. The upstairs stock certainly looked more battered than that downstairs, which I guess is one of the rules of good retailing. Voted hot by the way - because of you I've just spent £28 ;)

Damn i must have missed the upstairs bit. i'll go give it another look later on in the week.

If someone could pick up the Hellboy/HDMI/PS3 Remote pack for me, i'll pay for the p+p obviously :)

I saw the words "cheap" and "HMV" in the same sentence and knew it had to be too good to be true!

Loads of Dr Manhattan Watchman blu-ray and some others but no sign of Hellboy/ps3 remote this evening.
#18
There were loads of Watchman upstairs in the blu ray section and a small clearance section downstairs near the front/middle. I walked round for ages! how did i miss the others!!

Picked up a Dr Manhattan Watchman, The Orphanage, The Good the Bad the Weird, Max Payne, Funny Games and Babylon A.D. - all £3 each, all sealed. Also bought a CD and 2 Marvel 'Essential' compendiums, also £3 each.

Hopefully they'll have some stock on saturday :3

I went up there again today (work is really boring) It was like rabid dogs trying to get at the clearance section! managed to get Lesbian vampire killers, the wedding singer, lovely bones and spirit. They also had the above mentioned by SirHugo. Still no sign of the PS3 remote/hdmi/hellboy but they may have cleared the stock of that as there is also no sign of anymore Transformers 2.

Anyone tried Fopp in Shaftsbury Ave? Previous thread mentioned some deals in there.
