OK...we are not talking fine wine here....we are talking a cheap & cheerful sparkling wine....ideal for those Christmas Festivities.

Charmat Moscato Don Luciano

"This fine sparkling sweet white wine, with a bright pale colour, presents an intense aroma of fresh grape, syrup & sweet flower petals. Delicate small bubbles caress the palate offering a silky & pleasant sweetness, well balanced by a crisp refreshing finish."

Served well chilled this is an ideal party wine.....7% ABV

Bought half a dozen bottles & can confirm that while I'm not a great fan of sweet fizzy wines, this is very drinkable & compares well with the Italian Asti & Moscato wines....this one is produced in Spain

This is definitely NOT for the wine snobs out there

Sounds like a good, cheap alternative to buying Asti, which I find goes down well at our Boxing Day Buffet/Party.
Actually, I'm not too good with wines, as I don't drink them often enough, so has anyone got any recommendations for a white wine to go with the traditional Christmas dinner, that's not too expensive?

BTW heat added, as even own brand Asti is usually about a fiver.

At 2.49 you can't grumble. This type of stuff is perfect for big new year house parties - most people wont't tell the difference as they'll be boozed up already - and you can buy loads so everybody's happy well into the early hours.

Nothing to compare with Asti, like comparing whisky to gin, it's just different, but a blinding price nonetheless.

OK, well I might still get some anyway seeing as it's a great price, but I guess I'll keep looking for an Asti deal!
