Cheap Diet Dinner at Subway! £1.99

Ok, you might know about this or you might not, but this is particulary good if you are on an eternal diet and budget like me .....

Subway do a sub of the day, quite a bargain at £1.99 ....... usual price menu is pretty steep IMHO

HOWEVER the majority of the Subway stores allow you to turn your subway into a fairly large plated salad without having to pay extra. If you take advantage of their system you can get a large salad with all the stuff you like, the main meat of the sub plus cheese and topping for £1.99. I find this very filling and very helpful when I am too pooped to cook after the gym.

Good value examples are wednesdays when you get 4 slices of tasty ham or today when you get pepperoni, salami and ham. Many sites will also allow you to use the booklets of vouchers to be redeemed against the salads too.

Something to bare in mind instead of going to the chippy!

Sounds good and voted hot but my local sub are so miserable and tight, that I will sadly pass on this one:(

Isn't this a standard offer on the menu?

Enjoyed a nice B.M.T. today, £1.99
I know you can buy it as a wrap, but didn't know you could get it on a plate.

Can't see them giving away all that extra salad for the £1.99 price

Right, i'll ask them on Saturday, don't like the Tuna Sub Of The Day on Fridays.

It isnt a new thing but not many people know about it and Subway dont really shout about it either for some reason. Its not to everyone tastes but I cant grumble at a takeaway dinner for £1.99 thats actually good for you.

I think you will find most stores charge 29p to make your sub into a salad, still a good deal mind

Subway is a franchise so they are allowed to charge whatever they want which sucks, I have 3 in my area, one charges and extra 50p .... I told then to poke it but the other 2 dont charge extra

Man I LOVE FOOD!!!

I have had these for lunch a few times and sometimes they charge extra and sometimes not. But, how on earth anyone can find them filling I do not know. The only reason a normal sub is filling is because of the bread. Plus, if you don't have dressing on it then it does not taste very nice and if you do have dressing it is no longer a diet food. I find they just put more lettuce on the salad plate, the rest of it seems about the same as in a sub.
