  You know many people who make their own mince or pasta then? Personally I find home made sauce is miles better then anything in a jar and doesn't take much more effort, I'm sure that's the point crazylegs was trying to make as well.

  I did say decent, not five star ;-)
  
  To be fair i have always found the meat at Lidl to be very good quality, far better than anything that Asda or tesco offer in the same price range.

  Beef Mince sold out at my local Lidl by 12pm Saturday ! Plenty of spaghetti left and it's 500g + 50% free - so 750g for 24p. It's 100% durham wheat and Produce of Italy so can't be bad !

  We choose this mince over any of the supermarket versions in the same price range. Always sells out when on offer here usually as soon as the door opens on a sat morning!

  " durham wheat?? " I live in Durham, we don't make much in the way of pasta wheat in these parts...LOL. I'm guessing you mean durum wheat ;-)
  
  Good deal, I've always found LIDL meats to be good quality. I'd certainly make my own sauce, but that's because I have time to... for mums and / or dads in a rush, looks like a great value meal for low outlay.
