Just booked some cheap flights to travel with Thomson on their Dreamliner. 29th June is the start of the summer holidays in my part of Scotland, so no school missed.

2 options available, both English airports and include flights, in-flight meals and also a 20kg checked bag (use code "FREEBAGS" to get the free checked bag). As it's Thomson you will land at Sanford airport, but it's around 50 minutes to the mouse from there. It's worth the drive for us as saves a fortune against other airports and we usually have to go from Manchester anyway to get a reasonable flight price.

EIther option is the same price at £356.83 (2% Quidco available too)

From Birmingham departing 29/6/17, returning on 13/7/17 (2 weeks)
or
From Manchester departing 29/6/17, returning on 6/7/17 (1 week)

I know people will complain about exchange rates and park ticket prices, but if you wanted a holiday in Floeida without the mouse then it's actually within reach of many. Start adding tickets and it can turn from a moderate holiday to expensive holiday pretty quickly!

I hope it helps someone, but as a big family of 6 this means that we can have a Florida holiday (Floriday) for a reasonable amount.

The Thomson holiday site will give reasonable prices on package holidays for those not keen to go down the DIY path

Good price, have some heat.

Will be keeping an eye on flights as I'm going to miami and orlando in early Dec so keen to see which airport would work out cheapest and how far ahead to book for best price.

Stupendous value really, as you're getting direct flights on the newest planes (Dreamliner 787) with luggage included and a standard of service not far below that of the mid-price airlines.

Sanford airport is actually much less hassle to arrive at than Orlando MCO. We've just booked from East Midlands for next month for £299. Last year the last-minute early and late seasons prices got down towards the £200 mark but you needed to add another £75 or so each for luggage so this compares well.

Thank you. Booked yesterday, much appreciated

Excellent price! Shame I've just come back though :(

Only 8 seats left for the Birmingham flight now; there was over 30 when I posted!

Good value. We are looking to depart 5th July and struggling for a flight deal at the moment. Missed a Virgin fare of £373 by minutes last month...

We just got back from Florida last Sunday.

We normally go end June for Scottish summer holidays but because of flights advertised on here i saw back in December for £250 each for end of march with Thomas Cook I jumped on them. We booked a beautiful villa for £750 and a mini van for £300. Disney tickets were on offer if traveling before march so we got 3 adults and 2 kids tickets for £1350....these cost a lot more now. We also had a day at Kennedy Space Centre. £145 for 5 of us and we were there to witness a real rocket launch!!!

We won't be doing Disney again for a while now because of the cost. Universal ticket prices have also increased a lot since last year. Sea World, Busch Gardens and Aquatica tickets offer much more value for money and include free parking compared to $20 a day at the other parks.

We go every year and although the exchange rate is really bad (the worst we've ever had) we still managed on the same daily budget we've had each year...$200 a day for family of 5.

You can eat so cheaply out there if you look for decent places. Family of 5 for a fast food meal in Checkers was $15...4 for $3 meal gets you a burger, fries, drink and apple pie. Excellent burgers, much tastier than McDs! Steak House type restaurants and diner type restaurants offer kids eat free nights so make a list of these and plan accordingly to save some $$'s. We also still managed to fill two extra cases coming home with lots of shopping. Bargains still to be had if you look at clearance section first and combine with discounts/coupons.

I would consider going again in the summer if I got a bargain as holidays in Spain are no longer as cheap as they used to be either.

But the price of these Thomson flights are now £581pp so I won't be booking.
