Hi, I have just booked direct flights from Manchester to Sanford Florida for £298 pp at Thomson fly. Flying out on 7/1/11, back 2 weeks later. Which is the best price on flights to Florida Ive seen in a while.

We paid an extra £40 for a bag checked and £2.95 to pay by debit card. Both are a rip off but it still beats the £440 pp indirect flights that we were considering purchasing, or the £500 + Virgin flights.

For anyone else interested Continental are the 3rd airline to fly MAN - Orlando.

Why is £20 each way for a bag and a less than one percent card fee considered a rip off? Aren't these pretty close to the cost price?

I consider bags a necessity for long haul 2 week holidays so expect them to be included in flight costs. Debit card payments are usually free for most purchases and will cost TUI a nominal amount say 5-25p)

Thanks to everyone who has voted this hot, hoping the weather will also be hot(ish) too.

agree with previous poster - this is a very good price. Prices for flights to Florida seem to have increased a lot since the ash cloud but this is very tempting.

Anyone know whea the weather will be like in January?

Last Jan it was rubbish, between 1-10C, lots of news about exotic wildlife freezing. I think the usuall is 12-20C.
