you say its Available nationwide how do you know this?

I mean it's not store specific, as some of them can be reserved in 6 out of my 9 closest stores
#7
Just ordered one to reserve and collect. thank you. hot

I saw these in PC World but i thought most digital cameras do exactly the same thing.

These are roughly half the price of other retailers and I would say very good value for money.
#12
debating whether to get a few of these for my daughters come christmas they would love them.

From one of the reviews..........

video image quality is so poor and because it uses quicktime format , when you play back the movies they are jerky . this is a waste of time . a camera phone is better in my opinion .
#14
The Enova HD is £45 cheaper then Amazon

the jerky playback will be down to the user's PC more than anything, when playing back HD content

+ Takes rechargeable batteries, removable SD memory card, good build quality, excellent video quality on HD display for the price.

- Annoying beep from record button captured on video

any suggestions which one to go for? I am presuming righly or wrongly i will notice a big difference in video quality from my Nokia 5800?
#19
The sample footage on the little HD looks good for £40, I've always liked the vado's too but might as well get the HD one if any.
#20
would prefer the Enova HD Camcorder but says no stock at my local pc world although may ask insore as only a mile away, the advent is in stock though at my local pc world

just noticed review of the advent below,

Just to let you all know the Enova HD Camcorder actually records at VGA (640 x 489) then upscales to HD so it's not really a HD Camcorder.
#22
Quality looks no better in fact slightly worse than my Panny TZ5 digi cam so I'll pass.

Heat for price if you need one of these but if you've got a decent digi cam I wouldn't bother.
#23
Quite fancy the Flip, but it doesn't appear to be listed on the website. I know it's an instore offer, but I was hoping to check stock and reserve on the website :-(

here is one I took with the Creative Vado - its Ricky Warwick ex The Almighty doing an acoustic instore, any jerkiness in the picture is down to me not standing still lol

http://www.youtube.com/seatzie#play/uploads/7/pNQ_FCx_VaY

to be honest I use it for capturing clips of my son its about the same size as a mobile phone - at the price you don't expect full wonderful all singing all dancing quality but I think it does a pretty good job for the money - uploads direct to youtube and photobucket when plugged into your PC
#25
You'll only get what you pay for with the Enova... . a cheap "sudo-hd" camera. No optical zoom so not much good other than for basic holiday videos, You Tube stuff.

But eh!.... If you can live with it's pretty basic limited quality and features, at that price if it gets nicked, lost or bashed about then you haven't lost a £300 camcorder.
#26
Plenty of the Advent left in PCW Solihull. About 10 left on the shelves.

One or two Disgo's too. Nothing else.
#27
If you have no luck with PC World then try Currys, as they might stock these as well
#28
I forgot to mention that there are also a number of different attachments for the Flip and Disgo for around £4.97

Thanks for this, just picked the last Enova up from PC World Speke, one of the tech guys had nabbed the one we reserved for himself cheeky barsteward so surely they can't be that bad, it comes with it's own battery charger as well. Just in time for my son's birthday. Will let you know how it films, heat and rep.
#31
Lots of Flips, Disgos and Creatives at the Cribbs Causeway PC World. Picked up t'other half a Flip as a surprise, she was very impressed :) Ta muchly OP

Disgo was 19,97 in my local Pc world in Bournemouth. If you PC World dosn't have any left check Currys Digital. They have the same prices.

I went to collect the Enova, surprise surprise they couldn't find it.. By the tills at Hurlingham park PC world currys there were lots of the others no Flips or Enovas but everything else. I got a creative vago and a display Tefal 3 sec kettle thing for £9, so not a wasted trip after all .

The Disgo in my local pc world was marked up at £32.97 clearance,i went into currys tonight asking about the Enova HD Camcorder, they didnt have it but said Pc world next door had one left so one of the currys staff went into pc world and got it for me,apparently this is the norm now , sharing stock as well as managers between the stores

Going to study the reviews of the Enova in more detail before opening it , just in case i want to swap it for another model tommorrow :)
#36
Picked up the Enova from my local PC World - The last one! Wanted the Flip Ultra but they had it for 129 for some reason and not 49 as somone has posted above.

Great deal. Heat added.
#37
Has anyone the sku number for the Vado?
#38
Disgo - Pink was £19.97 but the black one was £44.97
so I got a pink for my girl and the bigger white Disgo for the nipper

Thanks - H&R
#39
they also had Kodak ones for £69.97 when Comet are still doing them for £99.99

not sure how the comet price match works
" if you've bought something from us and you find an identical product at a lower price within 10 miles of the store you bought it from, we'll refund the difference. Just let us know within 14 days. You can't lose"

So I guess you don't get it at the cheaper price plus your money back? just the difference back so it's the same price as curry's
#40
The Enova has just dropped to £29.97!!

So claim a price difference if within 7 days
