I got an email as a "VIP member" of Richer sounds that puts the cheapest of these deals at £99.95 for:

Amplifier - Tangent AMP100
Floorstander Speakers - Eltax Concept 200 (pair)
iPod Dock - Cambridge Audio ID10

A really nice deal for bedroom etc. Not sure what you have to do to get "VIP" status, I've ordered interconnects online recently if that helps.

You can pick up VIP cards instore, but to be honest if you just sign up to their mailing list and when you go instore state the VIP price they will honour that anyway, you don't need the card.

The link just takes me to a photo of a hifi. Can you post the link?

It looks like you have to ring them to get the deal - just make sure you quote the VIP price ;).

I used to fall for the richersounds 'amzing deals' about 5yrs back, and with no real experience of better equipment then, I believed i was getting a good deal.

However, the truth is, most of the time, you get what you pay for.

Eltax speakers arent great, the amp (which they sell separately for £59) is basic, and the dock is a glorified version of a £2 lineout cable!

If £120 is your top budget, then you get an ok setup with what looks (physically) like an impressive set of speakers, but if your budget is £200+ and you're tihnking this is the best you'll get, based on the 'tsp of £270' - it really isnt.

A cable would just connect headphone-out to your hifi, this dock does at least give you line-out. And an apple ipod dock is around £20, so it's not a bad deal.

I bought one of these-it charges your iPod as well which is handy.
Also looks good and if you own a cambridge audio amp then you can use the remote to control your iPod, which is handy for lazy people like myself!

Own the Cambridge Audio AZUR 540A Amp, the remote that comes with the amp also controls my iPod.
