Apparantly JCT600 drivers club will match any price on any tyres

check out blackcircles they have been the cheapest around every time I have needed tyres in the last few years, there are also 5% off codes knocking about and they have mobile fitters to.
#6
Have used Camskill for years... best prices out there for Performance tyres (not the regular stuff posted here though).
#7
Thank, I need new tyres for my *ahem* Rover (it's the dogwalking car I promise!) And my BM so will have a look into this...
#8
Have recently used Camskill for tyres and they have tyres cheaper than local garages can get at cost price...
Much cheaper than black circles...

I bought Falken FK452 225/40/18 for 60.45 each plus del.. worked out to 250 inc delivery! bargain!

Only downside (from my experience) is they use city link to deliver the tyres... always had problem with citylink deliveries though...
#9
nice tyres. got them for my accord around 6 months ago for £180 on ebay. I find they perform very well for the price range. good deal!!
#10
Can't fault Camskill for the Falken 452's, got 4 tyres (2 x 255/35/18 + 2 x 225/40/18) for £333 delivered and paid a local mobile tyre fitter £10 a corner to fit. Saved £120 against all other online prices I could find.

Only thing I will say is that it took them a while to despatch them, but they kept me up to date all the way.
#11
next day delivery? how is the op gonna fit them? if he takes them to a fitter will cost him at least £5/tyre to fit and balance.
#12
Great price on tyres for my Cougar - not in stock though!
#13
I used cam skill a couple times before and they have been very good.
I got Vredestein Sportrac3 for my car which is very cheap at cam skill.
I took my tyres to kiwk fit which they fitted fit and balance 2 wheels for about £10.

these tyres have been voted 2nd in auto express tyre test:

good for weather here (rain!)

you wont find a company more highly-regarded than Camskill- top notch in every way
#15
Its work checking your local places will fit the tyres for you i found that noone would near me :(
#16
Have priced up fitting £20.00 for all 4 tyres with valve and balance still (in my eyes) cheap for 4 good tyres.
#17
Tyreshopper.co.uk are worth a look. They fit via National service centres. They were almost £10 a tyre (30%) chepaer than Blackcircles for my Toyo tyres recently.
#18
Not sure it's a deal as such but good heads-up. Camskill have always been highly regarded in car forums, although I've used TyreTraders.com the last few times - they also seem excellent (and always had good dealings with BlackCircles, although they aren't as cheap).

Great choice on the KU31s btw - they're notably more confident in the wet that the T1-Rs than the local tyre fitter sold me before ever were, and definitely less road noise.

be careful what you're fitting em to, i hated the 452's in my astra
#20
Nice price! Will keep that site in mind I'll need two replacing in the future shame I need 16's :(
#21
Got my winter tyres from there. Top notch and they were cheaper than buying budget tyres from my local tyre places. No problems with delivery at all, next day!

Toyo snowprox i bought.

I've used Camskill the past 4 times I've bought tyres. Fantastic service and really helpful people. I'd recommend them to anyone.

I always found them cheaper than Blackcircles but I think it depends on tyre size/make.

I would reccomend that people check BlackCircles.com and CamSkill, they are both good websites. Its also worth mentioning that on BlackCircles.com, you have the option of getting the tyres delivered and getting them fitted yourself (might be cheaper).

i've just got a set of Kumho KH31 for £185 delivered. plus £15 a corner fitting and balancing. (Audi A4 205/55 R16
#24
i've used them a couple of times in the past, good prices, plus they stock Vredestein tyres

i usually get them delivered straight to my local garage, who fit them fairly cheaply, cash in hand if they're feeling nice :)

i did find though that selectatyre was able to price match and beat internet prices, plus with fitting it worked out even cheaper. The second time I tried this though they worked out more expensive so I went through camskill again.

The moral I guess is that it pays to shop and phone around. Don't go to places like nationwide or kwik fit though as even with their "offers" they are overpriced
#25
Great, always gone to kwik fit but a lesson learnt. Just need somewhere to get my car serviced other than kwik fit now
#26
A friend recomended this company to me and they have been fantastic great customer service and they got me 4 X toyo proxes t1r during the heavy snow, with them being based in cumbria i was very doubtful they would get them to me next day, but they did. Saved on the tyres even though i had to pay for local garage to fit them.

PS . camskill also have a price beater ( see below)

If you have found a product cheaper elsewhere and are serious about buying in the near future, we'd like the opportunity to better the competitors' price.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

All we ask is:

The product is identical to the one you are asking for a price match on.
The product is new.
The competitor can dispatch the product within a few days.
If we can, we will better the price, but either way, you will hear from us one way or the other.
(this will be in an email from us - so please check your email including your spam box.)

Forget budget tyres especially with our weather.

I got these and managed to drive up hills others couldn't/wouldn't in the snow. MODEL NAME: VREDESTEIN TYRES / WINTER SNOW CAR / VREDESTEIN QUATRAC 2 - 185/65R14 86T TL

PRICE: OUR PRICE £41.38 inc.VAT
p.s. I don't think they are winter tyres as such - all round is the correct spec. Basically rain rain and more rain

Forget budget tyres all together! I don't understand why would anyone spend thousands on nice cars but buy cheap tyres...the only thing that keeps your car on the road...

The last tyre change I had I used Event Tyres. They come to you and fit. I was pleased with the price and the fitting. It was lot easier than ordering online, taking delivery, and then taking them to a fitter. Out of curiosity I checked to see what their price would be for these tyres - fitted in W5.

comparing this to camskill - forgive me if i get it wrong

4 * 29.94 = 119.76

Delivery £10

i paid £12 fitting for mine but lets say £30 max inc disposal

total = £159.76 i suppose if you dont mind paying £30 ish for home fitting thats fine.

BTW how do they balance / align car at ur home? is this method as relaible as would be in a garage?

Regards

Chris

As above, check local suppliers are able/happy to fit tyres purchased elsewhere. A lot will not (quoting safety as their reason) and those that do will not always be cheap. Paid £15/wheel last time and to be honest it made the price very similar to what they were offering. Falken 452's didn't last at all well < 6K miles - so I wasn't that impressed with longevity though grip, handling & noise was OK.
#34
got these in 205/50/16 (2 for £130) and these are pretty good.

I thought you were recomending http://www.e-tyres.co.uk/ there, they are also worth a look. Not the cheapest but pretty cheap all the same and its inclusive of fitting, balancing, valves and disposal of old tyres. They come to you at a time and place of your choosing. I've used them a couple of times now and have been really happy, in fact they are comming to my home Saturday to fit two new tyres.
#36
Used them a couple of times before - always really helpful on the phone and cheap tyres.

Another vote for www.tyre-shopper.co.uk here. Price includes fitting, plus there's a 7.5% code available at the moment (mv1097)

we can't fault camskill, they are always helpful, and certainly wont con a woman unlike most car compaines. my husband has ordered a few sets from them .,so has my father-in-law. and do deliver when they say. brilliant for me as i always have to wait in................
#39
I've just checked Black Circles £116.20 delivered. My local tyre firm Tyrz in Macclesfield (tyrz.co.uk) who I use would fit them on site inc. new valve and balancing for £150 and they can do laser wheel alignment.

Amen, they were exceptionally cheap for my all-weather Toyo's, (~ £110 fitted for 4, I think) but be very wary of the National fitters they use.

I had to take my car back twice to get two seperate valves re-fitted, as they hadn't sealed them properly to the wheels. The guy who was fitting my tyres looked about 12.
