Yeah, but surely not for only £4.30 though??
am not use to the format of posting deals so just wrote something.
on another note I just installed windows 8 64bit and it works fine. Didn't even have to install the drivers myself, all done automatically.
Here's an example:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/150Mbps-Wireless-WiFi-USB-Adapter-Dongle-802-11n-Win-7-/170534481844?pt=UK_Computing_USB_Wi_Fi_Adapters_Dongles&hash=item27b4a5afb4
Though if you are totally averse to eBay like some, this deal is still pretty good - for the sake of a quid, it may not bother some people.
All these guys do is attach a USB bus to a WiFi chip, use the cheap built in antenna (within the WiFi chip set) and then ship it with the chip's drivers on a CD.
If you want to be cheap then go TP-Link. They're still cheap and cheerful but they're the biggest cheap brand and thus put a little more time into getting less returns than the competition (who just constantly re-incorporate under a new tag). Plus they sell models with an external/detachable antenna which is a massive plus (if not for any other reason than you know they're supplying more than the chip's antenna).
Voted hot as it's a good deal... and because it's just an alternative use of the word 'like', as in, he paid 'a similar amount to' 10 pounds.
How about we just be nice to people if they're offering deals, instead of judging them on diction and grammar? :)
Honestly, it's fine to vote cold, just so long as you've got a valid reason based on the deal, and not based on either the item or the text fitting your ideals.
I also realise I might be being slightly cheeky in that my heat was at least partly based on countering what I considered an irrelevant cold vote, tho it's still cheap if it's what you need and you don't have money to burn.
But, 802.11n is the future and worth the extra 50p (see plewis00's link). Plus, doesn't using a g device on an n network throttle the network to that slower speed, unless their are 2+ antennae?
