Have just found out about this group from a local animal charity..
Note I am not affiliated in any way, merely passing information on & having looked at costs via their site am pretty impressed!

Please note they have MORE vaccination clinics than just the main practises, so do look at the site.

Mods looked at placing this in "misc" but limiting factors such as unable to link straightforward to their main site etc, so felt better placed in deals, If incorrect , profuse apologies!
cheers
Mr Gus
Ok a handful of locations currently which will limit the heat & viability of this, however for those nearby & willing to travel (for instance i'm around 34 miles from kettering branch but even spending £7-10 each way in petrol I'd be saving on various elements such as puppy packages, or neutering which are normally very costly...

so for comparison I've shamelessly copied & pasted from their site (could someone in Martin Lewis forum please grab & pate it up to share with likeminded folk if of use!? Thanks (i'm not a member there).

Fab prices and they have a great offer on at the moment £20 for 1st vac then the 2nd free! I have 7 kittens to vaccinate and my vet charges £60 per kitten/cat for the initial course. Oh how i wish they had a clinic up here in the north west :-(

Many vets have become totally mercenary with an animal's welfare now being a secondary consideration to making a whacking great profit. The first thing they ask is "is your pet insured? " If it is, their eyes light up as they then embark on a whole battery of procedures which net them a tidy sum, paid for by the insurance, thereby causing everyone's pet insurance bills to spiral upwards.

Then there's the greatly inflated prices they charge for medication and if your pet needs repeat medication and you decide to buy it online for a fraction of the price, they charge you a tidy sum ( £15 at 2 surgeries near us ) just for producing a prescription. That said, it usually still works out cheaper than buying the meds from them.

Any practice that gets back to some old values of animal welfare at sensible prices will get my vote

And then there's solicitors, dentists, politicians and so many more parasites ....

@lindakaplan , @useless, ..folks if not already with animal friends I'd look at them for pet insurance, the only decent folk in the market! (don't geyt me started regards the mercenary attitude of "bloody Pet-plan"

Thank you so much OP. I have 2 dogs who are overdue for vaccinations just because of the high cost so this is fantastic. HUKD at its best.

Pick up the Medipets booklet from your local chemist. Vets charge ridiculous prices for things that cost just a few pounds. I was charged over £20 for eyedrops which actually cost less than £3!!

Thank you. Have a very poorly doggie and when the time comes will give them a call.

As they will be for your comment about animal friends. Believe me they are not always the fantastic company you are making them out to be. In my experience pet plan have been faultless after them ;)

Glad to see you maintaining your position as HUKD no1 spelling pedant X) I was in a hurry due to the copious amount of chopping to & fro to copy & paste, incidentally their site isn't word perfect I saw a couple of erroneous spellings you may wish to amuse yourself with.

My screen was hanging & lagging (out here in the slow net speed countryside) so I didn't check, besides we have a vet in our family & therefore tend to spell it colloquially just for the hell of it, & as I've just finished a discworld book whereby the ruler is referred to as vetinari (& have been wondering as to the correct pronunciation which may have also resulted in the not quite full on use of my heavily injured brain.

Not that I honestly give a f***
The point is to try & save a few folk some money on a very expensive service on essential care of their animals & share it with folk who visit this site & the likes of Martin Lewis MSE who may know someone who will find it more use than a prawn deal at Morrisons.

When we have the occasional litter of pups we'll use the 4 weeks free via petplan BUT impress upon buyers to check out other providers as pet plan have an extremely bad diminishing return as your dog gets older (from around 6yrs as I recall) whereby for anything costly it hardly made sense to be with them in terms of what's paid out versus overall bill.
Whereas if your animal is clear of a problem for a good while (having received treatment) Animal friends were happy enough to lift any restriction (ill health) from several years ago & another insurer & provide cover in the event of the problem returning.

Coupled with many bills sorted out within 10-14 days, significantly lower premiums, their charity provisions, & overall attitude, we would find ourselves speaking to the MD & more, their coverage on radio4 it was clear they weren't just another fleece you & run company.
I'm sure whilst they don't get it right every time (only human) they are worth comparing & indeed talking to as a potential provider for animal cover.

As I recall the wife saying, (when we switched) we were paying as much for one dog on pet plan as we were for 2.5 dogs covered by Animal friends & the premiums were not ramped up but stayed sensible.

But I digress, this thread is really about Easicare, as ever I merely hope some folk are able to benefit from it,
I reap the benefit from others thoughtfulness in posting up a deal & am happy when I can do the same.
