I've been into my local Asda in Cardiff and they currently have wine miniatures on offer at half price.

Most of these are down from £2 to £1, which means 3x25cl bottles = £3 around half the price of the full 75cl bottle which is bonus to start.

If that's not enough - the reason they have these miniatures in the first place is to entice you to buy the whole bottle. They promise to take the price of the mini from the full size if you take the receipt back. The thing is, even though you only pay £1, they will still give you £2 off the big bottle.

Double savings.

Enjoy, they've got some nice Casillero Del Diablo in mine.

They even have £1 of the big bottle before you begin applying any of the above.

Hadn't seen this post & was going to put on myself as with the £2 discount voucher for the large bottle it sort of works out that they are paying you £1 to drink the small one. This deal is available online (but will only let you order 1 of each & don't know if you get the discount voucher):santa:

This is an absolutely incredible deal! I went in yesterday and bought 4 mini red wines as a gift for someone, and I'll give them the vouchers as well (as they only say £2 off full bottle on them). Some of the wines were £6 for a big bottle so effectively it's half price for one of the big ones. Another thing is that myself and the missus opened 75cl bottles yesterday and could only drink 1 and 1/2, so the other half will probably go to waste by the time we get a chance to drink it - this is ideal to avoid wastage!

Voted hot and repped, thanks :)

I always save any left over wine (not that we often have any) for cooking with:thumbsup:

dont know if you could hang on to the £2 off vouchers and try and use them if any of the offered bottles ever get thrown into the 3 for 10 offer, that would be sweet. (if accepted).

FYI all, the French Connection bottle and the Asda Medoc have now been sampled....... intensively :) both are really nice.

Its some sort of "Urban Myth"
Legend has it that there are a small number of people who can open a bottle of wine and not drink it all :w00t:
Having never seen it I find it hard to believe :giggle:

p-e-t-e, bought 6 mini's and I had 6 x £2 vouchers for the relevant big bottles given to me at the till. probably better NOT to go to the self service checkout as not sure what would happen there. Still got them at the moment, if they don't expire, i'll use them after the 3 for £10 expires.

I actually completely forgot about that offer, was just chuffed I got the mini's at half off.
