Bosch - the best!

No longer true:
Retail prices

Bosch dominate the mid sector of the ‘High street’ market, producing a quality product at realistic prices, many of their goods carry an extended warranty beyond the accepted first years guarantee. Washing machines and dishwashers for example all carry a comprehensive two year guarantee.

Recently BSH have moved the bottom end Bosch brand slightly downmarket into the high volume, low cost sector using machines made in Spain in the Balay factory.

miele are considered the best........good price though and better than an indesit or similar :-D
#6
Wifey and I where looking for a new washing machine, and this Bosch machine seems to be a great bargain and a quality machine.

Thanks for the post!:)
#7
Miele are worth the extra ££; have had numerous machines and my Miele is by far the best; designed to last 20 years
#8
i'm very tempted to splurge the extra and get a miele...fed up with noisy, cheap and poorly built machines.
#9
I'll be getting a Miele next (indeed I think I'll splurge on a Miele filled kitchen when I have the money), but my current Bosch is nearly 9 years old now and all that's happened is that a button fell off a couple of months ago.

I certainly wouldn't buy a cheapie washing machine. Too frustrating if they break, and if you get quality, you'll get quieter running as well as a longer life.
#10
We bought this machine a few months ago and are completely pleased with it. Plenty of options, washes well, very quiet (compared to our old machine, certainly!) and supposedly very economical to run. We can use two and a bit cups of Ecover washing liquid in a hard water area with a full load, and it cleans excellently. Highly recommend.
#11
What's wrong with the hotpoint and indiset?
#12
don't buy anything but a miele.... if you can't afford a miele get a bosch.

I could write you an essay why you shouldn't buy a hotpoint, indersh!t, candy, service, beko etc etc..... but that would just make me sound rather sad.

This is a good price & deff worth a go...... it's all down to the bearing ;-)
#13
ANYTHING that has Bosch on it is quality. These things will run forever.
#14
Guy saying whats wrong with hotpoint

my mother has had a few
it was allways being fixed every 8 months or so
for its 13 year life it was a new machine inside every bit must have been changed

her new ish lg she's had 5 years and it hasnt broken once

oh also it doesnt sound like a bag of bolts on spin
#15
If its made in the uk send it back.. as its cr ap

thats my rule with anything electrical
#16
Bosch ain't wot they use to be.

Give me Zanussi everytime.
#17
Just checked Which website and they have given this model a very good rating for all round performance. Just ordered one, cheapest I could find is around £380
#18
Bought one, worried about them being part of littlewood and hence problem with this code??

You miss out other decent options like Maytag for example and Siemens.

We have a Bosch and Siemens, the Siemens cost a it more but to be fair its better and quiter, both have been reliable though, Bosch door has been a bit tempremental, have heard this about them.

Got 3yr warranty on the Bosch and 5yr on the Siemens so even if they break, it should't be a big problem and they never broke the bank, got them both on price match deal from John Lewis

This guy knows his stuff : http://www.washerhelp.co.uk/

It may be a Bosch but it's only a 1200 speed which is pretty damn average. You can get a Zanussi 1600 speed machine in Curry's, although not a Bosch for the same price, then have discount codes and free delivery for the next...25 mins maybe? Lol.
#21
Nice price, although the 1200 rpm will leave most things quite damp after a spin, I have a 1600 Rpm Hotpoint and it rocks,

i have a 1600 spin and reduce mine to 1300, otherwise it would take off, mind it is a hotpoint, hated it since the day i had it and cant wait for the pile of crock to pack in

We had a Hotpoint that we got from a friend to tide us over till we got sorted, forget if it was 1200 or 1400 but our 1200 Siemens seems to leave stuff a lot drier, it also does a better job than the Bosch..and it's a lot quieter
#25
ordered washing machine and new world gas cooker for both £428.75 inc delivery
thanks
#26
Great thing with Bosch you get two years parts and labour as standard too :)

Think you get that as minimum with any brand of machine purchased at John Lewis and usually 3 years on their ones.

i think the john lewis brand washing machines are made by bosch
#31
Out of stock now. I went all the way through the process, including entering my card details on the barclaycard branded paysite, only to be sent back and told it was out of stock.

Incidentally, Electrolux (Zanussi) make the John Lewis brand washing machines.

thought it was bosch?however zanussi not bad eithe r

For those of you who missed the Bosch, see my other post for Zanussi which is still available
#34
Good Price. Quality machines although I have seen one a little cheaper on offer a while back. Anyway heat and rep added
#35
thought the 'true' Bosch washing machines had the door opening on the opposite side to others.
#36
Just buy a Hotpoint they are made by Bosch
#37
Good price for a Bosch.

I don't understand all the love for Miele one's. They last 4 times as long as a cheap machine, not much of a bargain considering they are 6 times the price!

When my admittedly not great hotpoint dies I'll be buying the cheapest one I can find but buy a five year warranty for circa £250 in total (a quater of a Miele)
#38
We have got Bosch washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge and freezer, Awesome appliances.
