Your link doesn't appear to work.

I've also checked the website and can't find any deals for this phone for £25 + £5.99 as you state. Have I missed something?

Hi garbage456
The Go To Deal link actually goes to your basket
Do you have a link for the product?
Andy

My only concern with these Android deals on T-Mobile is that if you buy direct from TM you get a 3GB data allowance on all Android phones as a standard free add-on, where as these deals use the unlimited internet add-on which has a limit of 1GB.

Be nice to know if TM will know it's an Android and honour the added data, probably not though :(
#12
This is not really a good deal. This is the price that other carrier will be selling at anyway.
#13
Brilliant deal
#14
Cracking deal, easily the best so far for this. Heat added.

looks interesting

We'll have to see as D-Day approaches (think it's 12th April).

True. Also with T-Mobile direct you get free Internet and a free booster, whereas these deals from other sites are effectively charging for both (@ £5 ea).

If the price from T-Mobile direct is in line with that currently charged for the Hero (ie. same or a little more to account for the phone costing ~£50 more) then it's going to be much cheaper to wait and purchase from them.

Would definitely recommend holding out until everyone's announced their prices; doesn't seem to make sense to commit to a 18/24 month contract a month in advance of getting the phone and before the chance to assess what all the likely deals are.

Looks like a cracking deal to me. I've been looking at the HD2 on a similar deal, but not sure how the desire compares. Some research required I think.

garbage456
both are simiiar but remember the desire runs Android where the HD runs Windows mobile, which by november will no longer will be supported

Although you may actually be able to install Windows Mobile 7 onto the HD2 once the ROM is released. But I wouldn't bank on it..
#20
For weeks now I have wanted the HD2, but now I;m swaying towards the desire - decisions, decisions.
#21
Ive just been getting to grips with my HD2 (t mobile, £30 a month, unlimited net, 600 txts, 600 minutes...via beepy.co.uk)

It's a beautiful phone, i love it. I was watching QI at work this evening on it hehe shhhh. You have to get Skyfire as your internet browser, and just go to Catchuptv, its pretty much freeview on the move, 30 channels! love it!

Also love the function of backing up everything to a secure website you can acess, so numbers are safe if lose phone, and also it can track your phone down with the GPS and even make it 'ring' when on silent if you cant find it! genius.

Just hope WinMo 7 is available for update when i need to, but i cant think what else id need from this phone! It has a bigger screen than the Desire, same resolution, but less colours...Not many other differences (apart from the obvious OS)
#22
I vote hot. The rough price for the phone alone is £450 (cheapest deal with the £378 one posted the other day). You get 18 months line rental and the phone for just over £450.
#23
I just spoke to O2 retentions and they said they won't have it until April 19th. This deal is very tempting.

Is T-Mobile really that much worse? I've felt loyal to O2 ever since I won Justin Timberlake tickets :-D

why on earth would you want to though?!?
#25
For info, the HD2 is a completely different phone. It runs Windows Mobile 6.5.3 rather than Android. 2.1. It's screen (and the phone size) is also bigger. If you need existing Windows Mobile compatibility then it's the one to buy. If you don't then consider Android.

Latest news is that no current phone, inc the HD2, will be upgradable to Windows Mobile 7; which coincidently isn't backwards compatible with apps from older Windows Mobile versions. Also Microsoft will CONTINUE to support 6.5.x after 7 launch due to it's use by enterprise/professional customers. It will be called Windows Mobile Classic, and will also be introduced on new lower cost phones. So there is definitely a future. Whether third-party developers will stay onboard though is a different matter.
#26
and oh btw, the desire is by far the best htc OR android phone by an absolute mile.
#27
interesting, my other post was deleted?

i linked to: best-mobile-contracts. co. uk/phones/HTC-Desire.aspx

(have put spaces and removed stuff so maybe it comes up now)

comapre the top 2 contracts. far better than this really. as i said, i didn't want to hijack this thread, but i wasn't sure of this website and was wondering if anyone else did?
#28
Think he's on about the top 2 deals here, which are both 24 month deals.

Cheers,

BS...
#29
He said there are better deals for this phone at:

http://www.best-mobile-contracts.co.uk/phones/HTC-Desire.aspx

The problem is though that the top two contract deals on that site, that he's referring to, are 24 month contracts rather than this 18 month one. The latter being better due to a) being tied in for less and b) getting an upgrade earlier.

To be honest, if I wasn't in a contract for another couple of months, I'd go for this deal - whack the phone on eBay for 400 quid and then buy an iPhone 3GS!
#30
Seems good, but I'm well out of touch on mobiles. I always use Pay&go, but think its time I upgraded.
#31
OOhhh, tempting. Cheers for posting deal OP. I'll mull this over on the weekend : )
#32
Pretty ordinary price IMHO.
banned#33
sorry, am i going mad :-s

i cant see a deal for 25, only £30 a month, i can see £25 Unlimited Text + Web price plan but it says the line rental is £30...?
#34
Everyone is knocking this deal, so come on bring it on who can find a better deal?
Don't knock it if you can't beat it.
#35
I'm waiting for the Legend. Much prefer that :)
#36
This new thread, which is based on the same deals page from http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/614327/htc-desire-pre-order-59-99-20-a-mon?page=5

but points out the deal I noted hmm :)

I pre-ordered this deal a few days ago, They say they are due for "2nd April delivery"
#37
this phone is awesome.. waiting for a desire or a nexus one.. i don't know if i can wait 4 weeks though ...
