This is the cheapest U-Boat watch I can find. Of course, it`s not as sophisticated as the more expensive watches.
U-Boat Classico 45 AB4 2 5569. This new generation U-BOAT sports a dual-layer face. The matt-black cut-out has been laid over a Carbon Fibre Dial over which the embossed numerals have been placed. The movement has been rebuilt inside-out to allow the crown to be on the left – a feature that opens up the wearers wrist movements. It has also been positioned so that drilling through the face at 6 o'clock reveals a ruby. Classic 45 AB4 2 dial in carbon fibre and elevated numerals and strap in stitched silicon with pin buckle.
For those who seem to have no idea how some people live U-Boat watches go from this price to at least 85,000 pounds and the manufacturers will not be making them if there isn`t a market

I just cannot get my head around why anyone would want a watch at this price, i would be scared to death of wearing something that was worth more than my car, one scratch and its ruined, at least you can change panels on a car ... and it has a clock inside

I think your missing the point. I wear an Omega Seamaster and have worn it daily for the last 20 years. It has been dropped, submerged in water, scratched and has had plenty other knocks and dings, but still it goes on. It's as solid as the day it was built. A good watch will last a lifetime and still be worth something when it's time to give it up.

It's not that great really. I've had a U-boat and couldn't wear it on my right wrist because the crown cover was so large it dug into the back of my hand when I lifted my hand up. Just my opinion, but heat added for good price.

The description says the crown is where it is to improve wrist movement, it's for wearing on your left arm.

Cardiff has one now, but its around £2.5k I think. Not sure of the model.

This is a fair price for a U-Boat, they are fairly decent spec'd watch with a decent automatic movement. So your not just paying for the name as you usually do with the lower end tag's, rolex's and other "Premium" brand watches. As for feel, I tried one a couple of years back, its a big watch, but it felt balanced on the wrist.

My casio cost me 6 quid and it tells the time well, that'll do me. There is no way a watch can be worth this.

I wear a £4,000 watch every day. If it ever got damaged (which isn't easy due to the components used) all parts are replaceable, just like the panels on a car.

If I ever need the money, I can get around £3,500 back for it.

In my opinion, items only cost you the difference between what you buy them for, and what you sell them for, so in reality my watch is closer to £500.

There are many situations where that is inappropriate though. A couple of examples would be in a job interview, or at a funeral.

If you looked at your watch during a job interview I would be wondering if you had to get somewhere quick, not a good impression.

If you want a cheap copy for 112 pounds ok.
This is the real thing.
I can`t myself see the point of a copy, you know it is a copy. What do you say if someone asks you if you`re wearing a U-Boat watch? No, it`s a copy but it`s good isn`t it? Sounds rather lame. Bluff it out?

This to me represents a `value for money` version without being over embellished. Unfortunately I don`t have 8100 pounds to spare (less 10% with the code LIMITED10)

That Classico is one fugly watch (looks like it is meant to match the interior of a shabby Mexican Hacienda) , i'll stick to my Omega Speedmaster 57.

I suspect you're more likely to hear "wtf is that monstrosity on your wrist" regardless of whether you pay £2k for it or £2. They are all unattractive.

It's just a brand and has no genuine connection with U-Boats so the shape is purely a fashion statement, that being the case why pay more?

Why buy a Rolls Royce rather than a Mini, they`re just brands
But also the cheap clones wouldn`t even contain automatic movements, they`d simply contain a standard crystal oscillator and battery. And most of the functions and extra hands wouldn`t work.
Actually there was a real U-Boat connection:
