I'm sure it's a decent knife and at that price you can't really quibble. But I doubt any real 'chef' worth their salt would be buying knives like this.

Not knocking the deal or the price though. Have some heat.

A great knife to have in the kitchen.I bought a sabatier set off here, and it licks it into a cocked hat.

No, Gordon Ramsay is a bit thin on the ground in Coventry Sainburys store.
It should have read 'if you'd like to keep your fingers, chop vegetables effectively, slice tomatoes nicely, this is for you as its a quality item. In no way do I think a chef should have this,or, for that matter ,am I endorsing this as a chefs tool. That is totally up to the chef. If the chef should select this.' '

Carbon steel is the cheapest grade of steel commonly used for kitchen knives, you normally get: carbon, x30, x50 and x100 which are progressively 'harder' steels (so keep an edge for longer)

Professional chef is more likely to use something like this at work than IO Shen:

Though I know which one I would want in my house.

Definitely only worth £3.50, will be binned before long.

Might be in the AT7 one?

You could buy 32 of these knives and still have change. So not so good ,as you'd be able to have a fresh knife every week for nearly three years

Amazing how many 'chefs' we have here, many of whom own what I would class as very expensive kitchen knives. I know you get what you pay for etc but not sure I could part with £200 to £400 for a set of knives. But then again, I'm no chef. Even if I do like to try my hand at a bit of real cooking now and again, lol!
