In my opinion one of the best 'dance' albums ever..
The Godfathers of big beat electronica were back. Dig Your Own Hole is the second instalment from the dynamic duo. Taking the title from graffiti scrawled on the walls of their south London studio Dig your Own Hole would result in welcome critical acclaim for the collective. The album was praised by Mixmag, and by the end of 1997 it saw the Brothers playing to a sold out gig in London's Brixton Academy.
The power-packed Block Rockin' Beats and the echoing vocals of Noel Gallagher in Setting Sun gave the duo two well deserved number ones as well as a top 20 hit with the gritty waves of Elektrobank. Dig Your Own Hole brilliantly brought The Chemical Brothers their long awaited rise up from the depths of the dance underworld to the giddy heights of chart success
