Why not create one deal for everyone to see???
You have pepper plants, climbing plants, and cherry plants on other deals for lidl.

Cherry tomato plant though & people put an additional price on that sort of thing, or you could go out get a cheap bag of compost & several normal tomato plants for less. But that's not what this deal is for, so guess its hot because its an established potted cherry tomato plant

There's nothing special or expensive about cherry tomato plants - yes it's ready-potted, but I'm sure you could get something similar for a lot less at most garden centres. Better still a packet of "Gardener's Delight" and some compost and you will have 100 plants for less money than this one!

Silly price for silly punters. Don't be lazy, grow your own from seed.

Exaclty... plus like I have just said on the pepper plant post, I was at lidl last night and if the plants in your garden were in a similar state to the ones they are trying to sell you would did them out and throw them in the compost bin.... they were all virtually dead.... did'nt look as if they had been watered since they had been delivered to the shop...

The issue I have with Tomato plants is the amount of care and attention they require. In hot weather they have to be watered daily which isn't always possible. I've gone down the herb route this year.

Have to concur with the guys who say grow from seed - so much cheaper and if I can manage it, anyone can.

Are you sure this is just for 1 plant? If so it is crazy money!

- and how many tomatoes will it produce anyway, not as many as you could buy in packets for £4.47?!

Beyond ICE cold.

Local garden centres sell them for around £0.50 to £1.50 for established plants!
