btw i have no idea what fulfilment by amazon is but it means amazon handles the product which should make it much more reliable plus delivery is free

Can't really see how axl can be accused of "milking" the gnr name considering this album has taken 20 years to come to fruition and none of the band members including axl wanted the greatest hits album released. This album is far superior to anything slash has released. I wasn;t expecting too much from this album but its fantastic. They are performing in the uk in october. I got tickets for the o2 show.

it doesnt even come close to GNRs old stuff
agreeably slash hasnt released anything amazing in his solo career but velvet revolver "were" amazing

Don't see why every time someone posts a new lower price for this album people have to trot out the usual "it's not GN'R" cliches. That doesn't mean they have to sound the same as they used to. People seem to have found it a very difficult album to get into, which is often the sign of a great album. If you actually appreciate interesting, adventurous music and don't just want the same old hits rolled out in a slightly updated form over and again (if you do, go listen to one-trick-ponies like RHCP or absolutely any indie band in the charts right now) then this is thoroughly recommended.

The new band is twice as good live as any of the old members are now too, so the UK tour should be great. I saw them in June and they were on fine form.

And VR weren't amazing at all. Their first album was very good, but nothing new. Just the same sound 100 other bands already had. The second album was mostly dreadful and they were pretty awful life (although strangely better on the tour just before they broke up than they were on the first album tour).

They are still together though, for anyone who cares. Still searching for a new singer, albeit slowly. Wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being one of the younger guys off Slash's album.

This album is a mess. Some decent tracks but it seems that Axl shoehorned every idea he had in the last 20 years into this. It's a curiousity and now that it's out of the way hopefully he can make a less ponderous album.

Slash's new album has some solid tracks and VR were incredible for a very small time.

It's still funny to see Axl and friends billing themselves as Guns n Roses though.

Garbage!

If you can ignore the redundant Axl this, Axl that. No Slash, not GNR and so forth and just take it as an album of music. Then you have an amazing album. Sure it took forever, and no, it's not a Masterpiece, but it's a damned good album, and thats what matters.

This guy knows what he is talking about...

Most of you are a bunch of idiots.. why would anyone release an album precisely the same as music produced in the 80's and early 90's?? Progression is what keeps bands alive... this album was born from a qvery unique and strange situation.. doesnt mean it needs hating.. This album is amazing.. its genius on so many levels.. you clearly listened to it with a one track mind..

Ps First VR album was pretty good.. Libertad was **** awful.. Its Five O'clock somewhere was really great, Aint Life Grand was awesome.. but Chinese Democracy stomps them all!

Obviously I love Gn'R

I've seen VR & the new Gn'R (The W. Axl Rose Show)

I wanted to like Democracy after years of hype - but I don't to many layers of sound (protools)

This is the real deal enjoy the old band in their prime ... GnR_Ritz_88_FM

-*-*- Note to mods this live show has never been officially released ~ so no need to delete the link -*-*-

The new Slash live shows are great !

Just download the title track. You don't need the rest of the album.

This is probably worth £2.62... but really, it's neither here nor there. If The World and **** are tune's, This I Love is hilarious, Prostitute is good but that's where it ends. Wheras UYI definetely was a bit over the top, but contained quite a few awesome songs and a lot of decent ones.
