I bought this item last year when it was cheaper than this. It is a very good sofa, but it's very heavy and the delivery guys were exhausted carrying mine up the stair.

Knew I had seen this one last year, how much did you guys pay? I am sure it was in the £1XX :?

Really want this - just looking if there is a matching chair

Edit: Oh, no there isn't :-(

Still seems cheap at £219 - getting a lot of comfort for your money. :)
#6
Looks decent - have some heat.

mumbojumbo
This was 75% off last year, so £125 ish. This is less than it costs to replace a single seat cushion cover!

I thought it was some silly price like that, me and OH were kicking ourselves last time around

How tall is that single stair? Poor men.

Ermmmm well it went into one of the rooms on the top floor of a town house, so they had 2 lots of stairs to cope with!!

I think you missed what I was saying in response to your original quote.

You made it sound like there was one single step... not one single flight of stairs.

Never mind.

That looks fantastic value, if only I had room on my cc
#15
Is there not 3% quidco also ???
#16
Aaah, the Chiswick

I ordered this last year as well as a bed settee.

Me and my daughter carried it up two flights of stairs. It comes in two (heavy ) sections.

When we unwrapped it we had two parts that did not a whole, they'd sent two bed parts.

When, I'd finished crying, I rang them to find that they were now sold out and nobody knew where the correct part was.

We carried it back downstairs to my dining room to await collection. My hernia was bulging by now.

Weeks later and after a Xmas dinner spent looking at it, they finally turned up.

Happy memories!

that's annoying! i wanted one like this but couldn't afford the ones kicking around at the start of the year so ordered a different one.

had a call yesterday that the sofa i've ordered is coming tomorrow so too late to cancel. would have been perfect to have this one.

Now out of stock . .

looks horrid!

I bought this last year for £128, and contrary to other opinion I think it's a load of old **** as a main sofe (though fab for an occasional room).
Reason being:
- the armrests aren't padded enough and contain a large wooden block that I keep whacking me head on every time I lie on it.
- the support of the bed section has started to give way and now bows, which is very noticeable when the bed section is pulled out.
- the foam cushions are now all out of shape and refuse to go back to original state.

......now it should be noted that I live alone and very rarely use the sofa (other than the occasional humping of errant females after a lucky night), so am appaled that it should be in this state already.....does look nice though!

I got mine last year, it's still easily worth this higher price.
Just don't underestimate the size, it really is huge.

Agree! I think it is a brilliant sofa bed, not used much but it is huge and a very comfy bed so I am told.

#30
Aah, was out of stock, now back in stock!
#31
Says out of stock now actually :? I spoke to soon with my previous comment :-(
#32
Anyone got theirs yet?

My delivery today was cancelled due to the weather :-(
#33
Right, ours has come and so far not so good.

How do you get the bed out? Following the instructions we pull out the bed section but it gets stuck about half-way. There is no way it's going to come further without the sound of splintering wood. Are we doing something wrong or have we just bought a lemon? Help!

PS yes we have cut the transport cords ;-)

EDIT: Problem solved.

The bed section had somehow come off its runners and was jamming underneath. A little re-adjustment and it now seems fine. Very comfy and the pullout makes it great for lounging on to watch TV :-)
#34
i got an email yesterday saying it was back in stock
#35
back to £537 now....lol
#36
Well mines been delivered but they stoved in a pane of glass on my front door moving it around in the hall ( ironic thing is they had got it through the door no problem). So thats an insurance claim going through :-(

Sofa is fantastic - loads of storage under the 'chais' section and when you pull out the double bed section it turns it into a total slumber fest for watching tv :-D

Very very happy (can you tell? :w00t: )
