With only 6 weeks till christmas now is a good time to get your christmas crackers and your christmas cards from Saisbsury's as for a limited time they are BUY ONE GET ONE FREE across the whole range.

This offer is only available in stores - including Sainsbury's Locals and Centrals (limited availability) as well as the bigger stores which will offer the full range.

Apparantly the reason for the offer is to allow depots to clear out excess stock as it has not been selling to well so far (although i'm not surprised as they bring this stuff in way to early) so it will probably only last for a few days (offer started today: 15/11/07).

In addition they also have 2 for £9 offer on xmas sweet tins (Celebrations, Roses + Quality Street)

doh! Went there today and missed it. But it seems there some something wrong with their computer system. I was supposed to have 2 offers but the system didn't take the money off for me. Beware of the instant coffee beans offer (sry forgot the name) and the chips offer where you buy 3 and get a £2.99 plate for free. DO NOT get those...or at least make sure you get the offers when you pay. There probably are alot more offers that they missed on their system. So check twice before you leave!

Are you aware that these discounts are now sometimes taken off at the end of your receipt so have a look there - for e.g the buy 1 get 1 free on the £1.89 clementines in my local store has it at the very end of the recipt as "Fruit & Veg Offer" -£1.89.

They always use to have the discounts shown immediately after the items but looks like theyve changed their systems.

At the Sainsbury that I go to, the offer is still listed after the items. I double checked and they did in fact missed these two offers. I tried to buy 2 coffee beans for a discount but did not get it. What I got instead was being charged THREE coffee beans (it may be because the counter scanned the beans 3 times instead of 2??). And as for the chips, I was supposed to get the £2.99 plate for free but they charged me for this. So buyers beware.
