First set a fairly high benchmark really (best book and best film).

Second is pretty mediocre, third is decent.

You do kinda get irritated by people shouting "FOR NARNIA" though.

The best of the three perhaps, but I always liked The Magician's Nephew. Looking at IMDB, they're continuing the series, so am quite looking forwards to seeing how they do the portal travel corridor and rings etc.
I also remember the bbc version, which was amazing for the time. Obviously it'll show it's age now, but it's kinda disappointing that the new ones don't seem anything like as good for THEIR time. There's been far better movies (of all types) before and since.

Gosh i remember watching the BBC series when I was younger- thought it were brilliant at the time but I wonder how it would hold up if viewed now though. :| My youngest is busy devouring the narnia books so was considering watching the films after. Maybe the BBC version would be a better option? oO
