What an awful film, which is a shame given how Pitch Black and the game Escape from butcher bay were rather awesome.

Not voting, good price for a really bad movie.

no way!! great movie definitely getting this - I've always watch it again when it comes on TV. VERY HOT

Great film. It's a different genre to Pitch Black - that was more horror/sci-fi. This is more sci-fi/fantasy. If you're interested in writing the story pretty much follows the hero's journey.

I'm with the Mekon, I thought Chronicles of Riddick worked as a fantastic other-worldly fantasy - I was really surprised at how harsh the critics were. In comparison I hated Pitch Black - I found it ludicrously contrived and full of plot holes. They just happened to crash on a planet on the eve of an eclipse that happens every 22 years. How handy was it then that Riddick just happens to have night-vision. Crap. It was infuriating when Doctor Who borrowed the plot for one of the 'special' episodes.

The third one is still in the planning stages so it may well happen.

NOT an awful film by far. It is no Pitch Black but it fits nicely into the RIddick universe and is an enjoyable watch. The Games Butcher Bay and Dark Athena are also great games.

I believe the Doctor Who you are referring to is 'Planet of the Dead'. It too also reminded me of Pitch Black.

+1. We thought it was a cracking film and a great anti-hero. Well made too with some great CGI effects.

indeed, came across a review of the script for 'Dead Man Stalking' and it sounds bloody good:

hot deal, may well get this despite having the theatrical cut on dvd. been missing out on the games so far but the 'Dark Fury' cartoon is definitely worth watching!
