yeah, I've found that with Gearbest. the codes only work against their quoted full price, which is totally made up, so most of the time you're better off without the code!

wow that's really good for the price

I bought one of these a week or so ago from ebay, was a lot more than this, as i didnt want to take the chance buying from china.

Its a very nice machine and runs windows well. I have not tried booting into Android, but that does hold any interest to me.

One thing to point out is, that while it has a c type connector, this only runs at usb 2 speeds for data transfer.

How much of the internal 64gb memory is available/free for Android storage? Also any idea if you can use Sky Go or Q with this tablet? Some Chinese tablets can't, as the Sky apps think they are rooted (e.g. Cube Talk 9X). Thanks!

While i bought the tablet, it is a christmas present from my other half, and she wont let me have it before christmas day(mad i know!) but i cant really argue.

Check out the pcadvisor review(http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/review/windows-tablets/chuwi-hibook-pro-review-quad-hd-windows-tablet-laptop-under-200-3647741/?p=2) for more info, but here is a quote regarding disk usage from it,. "50GB to Windows and 16GB to Android. Of the 44.1GB assigned to Windows only around 18GB was free after installing our benchmarks, and around 9.7GB to Android"

Here is a link to the official forums, that may help -->http://forum.chuwi.com/forum.php?gid=92

Apparently you can delete either windows or android, and then use a normal partition app to resize the o/s that you want to keep so it will use the full space.

Hope this helps :)

What is Remix 2.0?
#13
Anyone got one of theese ? Would you have to pay customs charge?

Is this usb type c connector easily available? just wondering in case of this one breaking?

Yea, its like the micro usb connector was several years ago(migrating from the usb mini). Most of the newer phones use it, nevermind mac books, pixel chromebooks etc etc

Just remember that power isn't everything If the software is poop.
For example I bought a cube iwork8 air with a meaty spec, its runs like a dog with 1 leg, the original hudl runs faster ....just saying.

would this be a slow unit then? my old kit kat lenovo 1gb ram tablet has now been passed onto my lad so I'm in the market for a tablet and this seems to be a decent option?

It is pretty nippy all things considered. End of the day its a level entry (relatively) but the screen is beautiful. I spent a good bit of time reading reviews, and everyone commented that the screen is the best in class. I have only used it in windows though, not had a chance with Android as of yet.

As in a Product costing several £100's more!, as opposed to a Product rather costing several £100's less?.

Go figure ..... :-)

What is Remix 2.0?

It's a fancy newer version of Android built from the ground up, by 3 former Google Android Developer's, and ...

This will (in part) explain it to you far more, here:
